Wyc wants the the vets (Paul/KG) back

Not sure why people are jumping to conclusions about Rondo based on Wyc's comments. A GM at the combine said that there has been little to nothing coming from the Celtics regarding Rondo. He's not being shopped, per this GM.

Perhaps when Wyc thinks vets he thinks guys older than 35, like Terry and KG and Pierce? One never knows and so, I don't think anyone can read anything into this comment other than, he wants all these guys back and knows they need to add more bodies because these guys can't get it done(meaning a title).

Yea this was just a small part from the interview, besides it was never in question wether Rondo will be back or not its the old guys KG and mainly Pierce that some think won't be here next year. So why would he need to say about Rondo being back (even though he did) dont get it??

I didn't get the same feeling about the RR comment as you guys did. W/o hearing the questions he was asked, my first thought was that he meant a healthy RR so they can continue playing together. If RR has to go through a full season out like Rose has then we aren't winning w/o him (unless we find a solid PG and other help)... so other than wanting PP and KG to retire in green, it wouldn't make sense to keep PP and KG w/o RR (I mean if he has to sit the season).

Also, can't we use some sort of sign and trade to trade Lee, Bass, Terry, Crawford and a couple picks for some good player. I think the only big name player that we have a legitimate chance of getting is Big Al or J-Smoove. I think we should go for it.

The main problem is that the Celtics may not be able to do a sign-and-trade without dumping salary.

I think he wants to do both. Whether the Celtics can do both is the question.
