Alright again i brought some news over from realgm about the Pierce trade. Hope I got some credit for it since i saw it on the Celticsblog twitter..  ;D But something else i just was reading. This is someone else's writing so i am just copying and pasting it here. Thanks!!!

According to Gary Tanguay on comcast, Pierce has already put his home in Lincoln,MA up for sale on the market.

Just heard this a few minutes ago. I have been trying to find the listing, or listing agent but I can't find anything as of right now.

Going to see if my real estate agent can substantiate these claims....anyone who works real estate do some digging.

Update: 79 Winter Street, Linconln, MA for those interested

So its going to be

PP and Bradley for gordon

KG for Jordan and Bledsoe

PP gets bought out joins KG in LA for the MLE

Would like to send Jordan and Bledsoe to Atlanta for Josh Smith

PG: Rondo    / Terry
SG: Gordon  / Lee
SF: Green  /
PF: Smith / Sully
 C: Dieng?/ Bass

I'd rather send Deandre and Bledsloe for Demarcus Cousins.
Would probably take something like 16th pick, Jordan and Bledsloe for DMC.

Or Jeff Green + Jordan for Cousins, maybe give them the 16th pick if they demand it.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Read that last line again. One more time.

Yep. Maybe I'm just as crazy as he is, but I drool at the thought of adding Cousins to this team.

Being a Celtics fan since 2002,mainly because of Pierce, it's gonna be an emotional moment when I'll see him wearing the jersey of another team. It seems that this moment is coming real soon...  :(

And he did finish...

Yep. Maybe I'm just as crazy as he is, but I drool at the thought of adding Cousins to this team.

Rondo: Poor 3PT (24%) and FT (65%) shooter and known to cheat a lot on defense.

Gordon: Inefficient scoring SG (40% FG last season) and not known for being a great defender.

Cousins: Inefficient scoring C (46% FG) and statistically one of the worst defensive bigs in the NBA.

I see a potential problem here.

Cousins has talent and is super young, but with a lineup like this we would need rim protection, and Cousins doesn't bring much of that.

I'd probably rather a big like Gortat who can score efficiently, protect the rim and grab rebounds at a similar rate...all while not demanding a a rediculous amount back in a trade, nor a rediculous contract once his current one expires.

It would take a lot outgoing talent to get in Green, and that is a risk because you don't know what you get from him.  If he does excel in Boston he'll probably demand a max contract when his current is up.

Gortat wants out of Phoenix, and probably wouldn't take a real lot to get him here.  Phoenix wants young talent so a deal involving Crawford, Bass and filler (or similar) might be enough.  He gives us efficient scoring, strong rebounding and skilled shotblocking - the three things we need most from a big.  He also showed he could be a solid offensive threat when playing alongside a pure PG (Nash) so playing with Rondo could push his game up a notch.

Pairing Gortat with either Sully or Bass is fine because we are still left with a legit shotblocking threat.  Put Cousins out there with Sully or Bass and opposing teams will be hitting us with layups and dunks at will.

More importantly because we could potentially get Gortat for a (relatively) cheap cost, it puts is in a better position to try to enter a three-team trade (with Atlanta and LAC) with the aim of bringing Smith over here as well.

A front court of Green/Smith/Gortat would be one of the best frontcourt rotations in the league, especially with Rondo distributing the ball.  Not sure how feasible it is financially for us though (interms of making the trade numbers work).

Gordon's a pretty efficient scorer, he just had a down year.

Green and Jordan for Cousins is way to much, money wise, and even talent wise.

Green/Jordan=18 mill, Cousins=4 mill. Sac doesn't have enough filler they'd probably want to get rid of.

Plus I don't want to get rid of Green who had a good second half and good play off run just yet. And thats a lot to give for a guy how could blow up at any time and be off the court. Still need Green for offense. He's been pretty clutch in games, he just needs to get a little more consistent.

You rather have a potential franchise player in cousins over Gortat. Okay. Seriously I want no part of Gortat  because he is just an overrated player. He is a good rebounder and can score in the paint but, cousins does the same extent thing and even better.

So what Gortat does well is the two biggest things this team needs. Of course Cousins does it better but whats the point in trading for Cousins if we have to trade all our young potentials to get Cousins and that still probably wont be enough. Gortat might be a tad overvalued but he could most likely be had at a price we could offer.

Would i prefer Cousins, absolutely. Is Gortat more realistic while still helping our team with what it needs? Absolutely.

Of course if Pierce and KG are gone then I guess Gortat isnt as attractive anymore, unless we were somehow able to get the front court of Green/Smith/Gortat.

1. Cousins is a headcase, and if we got him we're taking a major gamble.  He has a 50% chance of maturing under Celtics leadership and a 50% chance or taking the Gilbert Arenas path and letting his attitude kill his career.

2. He's a supposedly 'dominant' big man who has averaged under 45% FG for his career.

3. He is statistically one of the worst defensive players in the entire league. Last I checked I think his Defensive Rating was something like was bottom 20 in the entire league.

4. He has averaged 3 turnovers per game over his career, so he's somewhat of a liability on offense

5. He's averaged 4 fouls per game thus far over his career, so you may not be able to depend on him to stay on the court.

6. He has averaged under 1 block per 30 minutes for his career so far

7. He actually has quite a poor FG% inside the paint for a center, so his ability around the basket is good rather than great.

The only thing you KNOW you are getting with Cousins is rebounding (excellent) and passing (good for a big).

There is the POTENTIAL for him to improve dramatically and to be a future superstar, but there is nothing certain about it.  He could just as easilly implode, run into off-the-court issues, get overweight (think: later career Vin Baker and Shawn Kemp) and blow up the team from the inside.

Our front court needs right now are four fold:
1. We need improved rebounding
2. We need an additional shot blocking threat inside
3. We need an efficient inside scoring threat
4. We need to reduce our turnovers numbers

Not Gortat is not quite an All-Star calibre big right now, but it's not always about the talent...it's about the ability to fill a teams needs.  Looking at the four team needs I've listed above, Gortat has (for his career) averaged:

1. 9.3 rebounds Per 30 min (pass)
2. 1.6 blocks Per 30 min (pass)
3. 11.5 points Per 30 min @ 55% shooting (pass)
4. 1.3 turnovers Per 30 min (pass)

Cousins has (for his career) averaged:

1. 9.8 rebounds Per 30 min (pass)
2. 0.9 blocks per 30 min (fail)
3. 16 points per 30 min @ 45% FG (fail)
4. 3 turnovers per 30 min (fail)

The only criteria Cousins fits is rebounding, and he's barely averaged more than Gortat in that area anyway.  The only thing in Cousins' favour is his upside, which you can't really bank on because there is no guarantee he will become the star he has the potential to be.

If we go into a rebuilding phase then you go for pure talent and youth, so Cousins is the way to go.  If we aim to retool and challenge for another title, then you go for the guy who makes your team  better now...and Gortat is probably that guy.

Don't forget that Gortat averaged 15 points (55% shooting), 10 rebounds and 1.5 blocks for Phoenix in 2012 when he had a bigger role.  For a big man in today's NBA, those are borderline All-Star numbers.

I saw a lot of Gortat in Orlando as a backup to Dwight and he was fantastic - a real energy guy, and Orlando lost very little when Dwight sat down because of Gortat's high level of play.  You wouldn't pay massive contract money on him, but on his current (quite affordable) deal he's a very good starting center that I think would fill a lot of our needs.
