Well, Ainge drafted Fab Melo despite his domestic violence past, so I'm not sure TWill is a definite goner.  Then again, this is more recent and involves a gun, so maybe the politics of post-Newtown make getting rid of him a necessity from a PR standpoint.

200K of his contract reportedly becomes guaranteed by June 30, so there is that to consider.

Sooooo...10K fine, 100 hours community service with a battered women's shelter, mandatory long term counseling, and a week's suspension? Assuming he did it? Sound right?

Mad that your gun related domestic assault didn't make it onto CB?

That's a silly rhetorical question, you know it, and I know it, and so does everyone else. It's news because he's a professional athlete.

Baby mama drama.
When two people don't like eachother and one of them is famous, things usually get overblown. I really like him and I would take him over JET anyday.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

Sometimes.  And other times, the famous person is a creep that skates on a crime that an average person would be doing jail time for.

That's a shame.  I hope this is nothing more than an allegation.

I had talked myself into thinking he could help us.

The question is, should we care? I say nay; who cares what TWill does if it doesn't affect his basketball? Domestic assault is common across the United States.

So, where do we stop?

DV is indeed common.  Racism is common, too.  So is rape.  So is pedophilia.  So is murder.

If one of our players is accused of one of those, should our reaction be "Eh, no big deal, it happens"?

The guy was allegedly waving a gun around threatening to kill people at a custody exchange for his young son, presumably with his son present.  If that's true, the guy is, at best, a scum bag with an anger problem.  I think people have a right to care about that.

We don't know if that's true at all, and if it's all false then TWill just got his reputation totally screwed over because of some liar. Who knows if it's true?

If it is true, then pooey. I, for one, will wait for more information, if any.

There's a gigantic distinction between "let's wait for all the facts" and "who cares what TWill does if it doesn't affect his basketball? Domestic assault is common across the United States", don't you think?

The former is a reasoned approach that recognizes that just because something is an allegation doesn't make it a fact.  The latter excuses abhorrent behavior just because somebody is a professional athlete.

Both ways, I don't think it should matter. Come on, Bill Clinton, who is a pretty good politician who spent years and years working hard to ultimately become POTUS gets accused of sexual misconduct and gets impeached and nearly kicked out of office! If I were Clinton and I basically wasted my whole life because of bad non-political decisions, I'd be upset. If I were a staunch Clinton supporter or even just one of the fifty million Americans who voted for him, and he got impeached and had to leave the presidency, I would be upset! His bad non-political decisions screws over his life, his supporters' lives, the whole Democratic Party is SCREWED.

I don't think that's right at all and I think that should probably apply to TWill too

I'm going to give T-Will the benefit of the doubt, simply because the words were, "alleged." So it was basically word of mouth, and therefore holds no value until T-Will is proven guilty.

The real question is if it was someone who we trusted like Paul Pierce in his prime, would we trade him away, or keep him?

With T-Will its a simple answer for DA, but if DA had to keep one of his best players who had done something controversial like this, would he still be here?

Probably.  Danny held onto Tony Allen after he was allegedly involved in a shooting.
