I'd like to see Big Al return if he can play alongside KG. Sure his defence isn't great, but he fills the Celtics two most glaring needs: rebounding and low-post scoring.
For us to be able to offer Al enough to come here, it'll have to be a sign and trade though and I'm not sure the pieces we want to subtract will be enticing to the Jazz (Pierce, Bass, Lee/ Terry).
They're only going to trade Jefferson to us if they can improve their backcourt, in particular the point guard position.
The only player on our roster that fits that description is Rondo, but obviously trading him straight up for Big Al would be nuts.
So the only way it happens, I think, is if Pierce is traded somewhere for at least one good backcourt player, who could then be flipped to Utah for Al.
