Pretty straight forward idea; the Bucks have a lot of cap this off season. A LOT.

If they cut Elli, Boston could presumable trade them Pierce Bass and Terry for a pick, then Garnett for Ilyasova.

The C's end up with the following:

Rondo - Bradley
Lee - Crawford
Green - Williams
Ilyasova - Sullinger
Mayo

...and about $17 million in cap to go after Howard, Pekovic or Jefferson.

On what grounds? His good outside shooting or his good rebounding?

They can't cut Ellis, he has an early termination option.  They don't have that much cap room if they re-sign Brandon Jennings.

If the Celtics made a deal that involved Ilyasova coming to Boston, I am pretty sure that a first round pick in the deal would be headed to Milwaukee and not coming from them.

My bad on the Cut vs. ETO note. I believe Jennings' cap hold would be the qualifying offer - around $4.3M.

Regarding the pick, I meant a protected second rounder - not an asset. Something has to change hands.

Garnett has a no trade clause and I seriously doubt he wants to approve a trade that ends his career in Milwaukee.

I think that's not a great deal for the Celtics he is signed for four more years at 7.9 per. In addition to Ilya I would want Udoh or Mbah a Moute.

Also there is no way KG waives his no trade clause to go to Milwaukee.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

His underwhelming first 36 games. Out of a total 73. That's half the season.

His elbow at Jeff didn't help.

I would worry about his lack of defense and his positional redundancy with green. Both are 3/4 s with very different skill sets but neither is a good post defender and would form a poor pairing with sully. To much money being given to two player who are a poor pairing

Wait. Aren't you a huge Jeff Green fan, the player that was garbage for half this season?

Kind of a double standard given your stance on Jeff Green, don't you think?

Players go through slumps all the time.  It can happen for any number of reasons:  injuries (either disclosed or undisclosed), off-court distractions, a change in physique, a change in form, or just an old-fashioned can't-throw-it-in-the-ocean slump.  You can't base his value as a player on his worst stretch of games, any more than you can evaluate a player on only his highlights.  You have to look at everything.

Right now, though, we have a two-year stretch of evidence that he's a good NBA player.  He has two major skills:  very good rebounding from the SF position and elite three-point shooting.  I'm not completely convinced that he's worth that $8M contract, but he's undeniably a useful player.

Ilyasova would look great in Celtic green, but it won't happen, he's good at rebounding.

KG is either playing for Doc of retiring, but he's not playing for the Bucks.

If KG stays, Pierce stays. If KG retires, we will see.

I'd rather find a way to get Larry Sanders and then reacquire AlJeff.  Sanders could help cover up Jeff's non-D.  Not saying there;s a way to do it, but if we're getting someone from MKE, I'd target larry.

For the C's, this is purely about getting young and getting under the cap before Rondo expires and Bradley/Sullinger sign their second contract. Adding Pekovic to the core described above, and suddenly we look a lot like ECF-bound Indian Pacers.

From the Bucks perspective, they will win a lot of games with a lineup featuring Jennings and that frontcourt.

Don't worry about that kid. He just posts for the sake of seeing his number go up
