I would absolutely. I'm likely higher on him than most but I would even move up for him depending on the price (16th pick+Crawford for example)
If we're moving crawford's salary like that we'd have to go down slots in the draft.

I wasn't aware Crawford had an avoidable salary. He's a 24 year old SG who is inconsistent as all hell but undenyably has talent. Making just over 1mill and coming off a rocky season where he still averaged 13 points. Not sure why the guy is considered a scrub
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Yep. If anyone slips, draft him.

If he slips? I say we move up and grab him if he's in the 7-10 range.

This is kid, with all his flaws is worth it. A scorer like no other, and has physical tools to be better on both ends, highly competitive, to the point where he is not happy that he did not take the winning shot.

Sure he has red flags, but our locker room can fix those. The potential is sky high.
Our locker room will only fix those if they have KG and Pierce next year, two players most of you desperately want to get rid of.
KG & Pierce aren't going to magically make a headcase "get it' though. Especially if they are on their way out of the organization.
So who in that locker room is going to fix the guy's attitude?

KG and Pierce did "magically" fix Rondo's attitude. He had major attitude problems and created locker room friction, in case you forgot. These two were the ones who fixed him.

Anyways, I still don't understand who in that locker room is going to fix the dude's attitude if it is not KG and Pierce.
more likely Rondo 'fixed' himself.

KG & PP didn't fix Ricky Davis, Blount, POB, Sheed -- why would they have fixed Rondo?

Plus who said Rondo doesn't still have his own issues with attitude? Also Rondo was in a very different place than a rookie drafted now would be. Rondo was the young PG of a team that was a contender and grew into an all-star. Even then there was a ton of friction as PP/KG/Ray aged and Rondo took a bigger role.

Doc talked about how he forced Rondo to keep feeding KG/Pierce the ball when they were banged up in 09-10 instead of making plays himself or for others. That KG/Pierce needed the shots to work themselves back to being ready for when the playoffs were going to kick off.

A good lockerroom, team culture, and coach can all help a player develop certainly. But as KG/Pierce age young guys aren't going to be as eager to listen to them like they were when they were still All NBA caliber players leading a contender.

Just like a player can't lead a team once he's injured, leadership gets harder when youre skills diminish.

Not sure what your point is, because even with the supposedly "diminishing skills" of Pierce and KG, this team can't do anything without them, as it was very evident this season when the defense fell apart when KG sat and the offense fell apart when Pierce sat.

My point is pretty simple. Young players with attitude issues who pout when they don't get to take "the shot" aren't going to be the most willing listeners to former all-stars whose skills are declining.

Sure they might give the right 'media speak' if their agent coaches them well, but they're going to think that they can play their game and suceed in the NBA. You're not a high profile one and done prospect without a healthy ego.

You can't assume KG/Pierce and the C's culture will make players get in line and play "team" ball. You really never could, but especially not now. Not when both are showing their age.

You're conflating a lot of on the court issues that are tangential, I'm well aware how much this C's team relied on KG/Pierce for production on the court.

I would not draft him based off his NCAA performance.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1578668-ucla-basketball-was-shabazz-muhammad-worth-the-trouble

This guy has talent but it is inefficient talent.   He is ball dominate and not a team player but he is no Jordan who could carry a team.

Doesn't seem to believe rules apply to him:
Quote
He once wore a Gucci backpack during postgame interviews, reigniting suspicions that he was somehow on the take.
He didn't look appropriately happy when a teammate made a game-winning shot.
He played beer pong (without the beer) the night before a game. God forbid.
UCLA coach Ben Howland essentially told reporters that Muhammad would be heading to the NBA after his freshman year...before his freshman year had ended.
On what would prove to be the final day of UCLA's season, reports surfaced in the Los Angeles Times that Muhammad is one year older than previously believed.

There is no me in team.   This guy is the epitome of ME BALL.

Of course you pick the kid, then you play him 25-30 mpg to make him a ROY top candidate, and move him for a good pick in 2014... unless, of course, Shabazz comes as humble and willing to learn as you would like in a Celtic player.

If Gerald could be a part of a package to get a superstar, with some luck you could turn Shabazz+Bass into a great pick/young player.

Of course, longterm, I'd rather pick Saric.
