Shabazz could be had with a pick gained from a Bradley trade.

Shabazz is a scorer. Pure and simple. He can learn other aspects of the game, but you cant teach scoring instincts like he has. He is underrated because people are looking for the archetypal rounded player.He is like a small version of Zach Randolph. A black hole of sorts, somewhat predictable, but unstoppable when in groove.

Len is the best centre in this draft.

I can't see them giving up Bradley just to move up, what, possibly 9 spots or so.  I know Bradley had a pretty rough season overall but he's more valuable than moving up in a weak draft.  This is a draft almost devoid of typical lottery-quality players.  It's really not an exaggeration to say that the talent level is pretty flat from 5 to 18 or whatever, maybe even more.  The player they trade up to pick at 8 or so is not better than Bradley plus the 16th pick.

I just went back and looked at the numbers, and during the 06-07 season we had the following minute allocation:

Perkins    22      3         20
Rondo     20      R         23
Powe       23      R         11

Those same guys played even more in 07-08 (and two of them started!), when our other rookie Big Baby was also getting significant minutes.

After we fire Doc because he never plays rookies, we should find out who was the Celtics coach in 2006-2007, and re-hire that guy.

That guy loved playing rookies!

We have to take Steven Adams at 16. With all his offensive flaws and him being a project, one skill this video showed strikes me, and is perfect for Boston.

At the 4:11 mark of the vid where the show the Defensive Potential. The way he defends the pick and roll and how he can take the guy handling the ball AND recovers quickly to his man is perfect for the Boston defense. Not every Center can do this, and he's showing already that he can. That footwork is ridiculously fast for a Center!

I'm sold, we need to take him 16th.

Never nor should they.  Doc doesn't play rookies/youth unless he has no other options.

Rondo-->his only competition his rookie year was Telfair who was a 2nd year player and was in the starting lineup to start the season (and god awful)
Perk-->who else was there to play center--Raef?  Please.
Powe--> again, who else was there to back up Big Al--Raef, the chronically injured and incapable.
BBD-->No one to back up KG and Perk besides Powe?  No one until PJ Brown and when he showed up, BBD's minutes went way down.
Sully-->His only competition for minutes is Bass and we all know how poorly he played until Sully went out.  Bass was still the starter for the bulk of the season before that injury too.

Still waiting for anyone who claims Doc will play youth to provide an example of a vet player that rode the pine in favor of the young players.

Speaking of upset, I'm just wondering what pick would upset you guys?

A bunch of guys seem to be decent picks. Can't seem to go wrong.

I just hope we don't get another guard without moving some of our surplus guards. I know it's BPA but, man, the needs are glaring as hell in other positions.

Last time I checked Terrence Williams and Jordan Crawford were playing significant minutes for us in the playoffs. An upgrade at guard is not out of the question especially if Pierce doesn't come back.

He's very raw, offensively.

His strength, obviously his size and feel for the game defensively is NBA ready. We need not to rely on him offensively right now, but he can make an impact on defense and rebounding.

And like I posted already, his defense on pick and rolls is one of a kind. The kid has very fast feet for his size, not a lot of Centers come like that. While yes he is a project and so is Fab, Adams can be a finished product faster than Fab, at the same time contribute now, as raw as he is.

this guy is much better. Bc not only is he as fast, athletic but also has some transferable skills from college to the nba.

Adams is sushi raw and it would be a risky move to draft him. Again we already have Melo who is raw too , but now has 1 semi pro year under his belt. If you watch Melo's scouting film, he will also make your mouth drop as Adams. But if you really  watched him play you knew how raw he was.

Not the case with Sully and not the case with Dieng. So if we want a pf/c that can help us out , nil risk involved but has some upside, this is the guy to get. I'm pretty sure though with the lack of guys with size in this draft, he will be gone in the 10-15 range.

Again from what i've seen, i'm big on Saric. But the contract buyout is not something the celts need to get into, plus he has already said he wants to be drafted by or before the lotto.

The next big talents that should be available to us are

Shane Larkin, Dennis Shroeder, Livio Jean Charles. All of these guys have proven they can play at a consistent level, and have transferable nba skills

Larkin = Chris Paul meets Nate Robinson. Can take over games. Can shoot, score in traffic, pass, play defense. The only thing he can't do which is out of his control is grow taller, being only 5'11. But so what?? If he can play, he can help us out on our 2nd unit and at times i can see him being on the court with Rondo too , bc of his shooting capabilities

Schroeder = composed Rondo, that can shoot and doesn't gamble on defense alot. His pentrating capability is 2nd to none. And after watching more vids on him, he can drive left but prefers to usually go right. He can't finish left though, but i don't think that really matters. Imagine having two rondo like players play together at times? Could be a nightmare to deal with

Livio Jean Charles = Best comparison is Amir Johnson. 6'9-6'10 and has incredible 7'3 wingspan. This guy is a super role/garbage player , that can defend multiple positions and has some underrated skills like a decent jump shot. Rondo won't be running by himself in transition anymore bc of this guy. We will get some tip ins on the offensive zone finally. From just below the key, only needs a couple of steps to get a layup. Blocks shots and rebounds at a high rate. Best thing is, his motor runs high all game long. Might be a reach, but could end up being a steal. The way he is , physically, defensively, motor, intensity reminds me of some parts of kgs game.
