Paul is still the best PG in the NBA.

Take Paul of NO, lotto team.

Add him to the lotto team in LA, playoffs.

Take Rondo off playoff Celtics (well Rondo and Ray Allen), still the playoffs Celtics.

Rondo is still a top 5 PG.

cp3 gets swept, deron gets 1st round exit

rondo takes lebron to 7 games and makes him sweat bullets

AMEN

I didn't realize that the playoffs were one-on-one.

Let's be realistic here--how many point guards have carried their teams to the Finals, let alone a championship?

  Aside from Rondo?

Who has never carried the Celtics to the Finals.

He has been a player on Celtics teams that went to the Finals, but never came close to carrying them.

LeBron and the rest of the Cavs would probably disagree with you.

When healthy, Derrick Rose is the best point guard in the NBA, not Chris Paul and not Rondo. Rondo is a lazy regular season player, and Chris Paul is a quitter.

Regardless, LeBron and the rest of the Cavs would be wrong.

Imagine how our team would have looked in the playoffs without Jeff Green this year. The team you'd have left over, which would have set more records for offensive ineptness than they did in the series, is probably better than the group that Rondo took to within a game of the finals last year.

Why?  Was it Rondo that was defending Lebron?

Of course the Celtics would be better with Rondo.

And would have probably been even better with Paul because he could have both run the offense as well as Rondo and been the 1st option.

TP.  LeBron, the best player on the planet, shot under 40% three times in that series (in the final three games of the series) with Pierce guarding him and with KG protecting the basket.

But in BBallTim Rondo Worship land, Rondo played all 5 positions, guarded everyone, and carried two washed up Hall of Famers on his back.

Not getting into this debate......but Chris Paul is an overrated fraud who is on the verge of quitting on another franchise, doesn't get along with Blake Griffin and should've, if he's as good as people make him to he made the finals in the wide open west this season, I know his apologist now use revisionist history to make it seem like the clippers sucked and it was the coaches fault...lol

Bye

That's cute. The kids table is to the left.

Have fun sitting there with your cp3 footie pajamas

As others have said, Rondo isn't better than Chris Paul.

Similarly, I agree with wdleehi that Rondo has never "carried" this team to the Finals.  He's been a fantastic playoff performer overall, but this notion that he has carried this team alone or nearly alone is a fantasy.

(Also, for whatever it's worth, Rondo hasn't exactly blown the doors off in the Finals.  Out of 13 career games played in the Finals, he's only shot above .500 once, and has only had double-digit assist games three times.)

Is it just me, or are things a little chippier in here than usual?

It's these first round exits.

Part of the series, but he was actually the guy on the other end of the court that the Cavs had no answer for. Bummer if you missed it, the 21/6/12 he put up against them was pretty impressive to see.

Correction: Take Rondo off playoff Celtics, 1st round exit .500 team.

Either way, I agree CP3 is the best PG, but I still think he's overrated.
