Mannix stated that tha room for upgrading tha team in this offseason is limited as far as free agents go. He feels tha Celtics should continue shopping either Pierce or Garnett to see if they can get enough in return to help reboot this franchise. Here's a couple of quotes.

“I don’t think it’s going to be a financial issue for the Celtics to trade either one of those players if they’re motivated to. It’s just how much less they’re willing to take back in return.

“I would do exactly what Danny’s been doing to this point,” added Mannix. “If you can trade one of them and get a lot in return, get something that you know is going to help reboot your franchise, do it. If not, hold onto them and just play this thing out, wait for their contracts to expire and play with the flexibility then.”

He thinks if tha Celtics can come across a Jordan-Bledsoe type deal for either Pierce or Garnett that they should pull a trigger on it. And of course if Garnett is willing to accept. He then goes on to say Rondo is too valuable to this organization to trade. Which I agree with. Especially if Pierce and/or Garnett are dealt away if they haven't decide to retire. So I really don't see Rondo going anywhere anytime soon. Unless he's traded for an all-star caliber player which I really don't see happening anytime soon either. Sorry Rondo haters.

But what do ya'll think? Should Danny keep shopping them or continue riding with Pierce and KG until their contracts expire to play with the flexibility then?

So people who believe Rondo is the Celtics' most tradeable asset are haters, eh?

Oh cut it out. Where in my post did I say that? If you feel that way then that's just what it is. No one is 'labeling' you as a hater.

I thank my lucky stars, you are not coaching my kid.   This is the kind of drivel people post when they can't argue or debate the facts.

Are we a better team now without Rondo?

Personal attacks, as well. I missed the memo that the board rules are off.

If you'd like to see a detailed explanation of why Rondo should be traded, it's been posted before on the board.

I'd prefer not to post it again, although I can assure you that it stands and will continue to do so. I believe there's a board rule against belaboring a point.

Or at least there used to be.

Trading Rondo is acceptable if we can get CP3 or D-Will or another same level PG, cuz we really need someone to hold the ball n find the teammates.
