Here you go... "That lineup can't make it to the finals".
Why not?
KG will just get older and less effective. Al Jefferson is NOT a legit center he is a PF pushed into the Center role because of Utah's lineup. Bosch is in his prime and KG nor Big Al can guard him. No one can guard Lebron. Our PG has no consistent offense and no desire to play defense. Green is solid but isn't PP, especially at his prime. There is no way that lineup CONVINCINGLY wins the rebound battle. That is still a mediocre rebounding lineup. That is a worse scoring second unit than we have right now.
That lineup is so far from a contender that it isn't funny. 7th or 8th seed at best. Not interested.
KG will be more effective with an actual big man next to him. He averaged 12 rebounds a game. I think KG will be alright. Even if Al Jeff is not a center, he can play with his back to the basket alongside KG. They can switch roles if they have to. Yes, no one can really guard Lebron, but Jeff Green has probably done the best job out of anybody in the league all year. The stats prove you wrong on Rondo's defense (to be fair, I was surprised too). He allows 0.77 points per play, good for rank 37 in the league. He's almost as good as Avery Bradley when it comes to points allowed per play. His offense is the reason we got so far last year in the playoffs last year, once again check the stats. Green won't have to be PP if we have AL Jeff, and PP has been ineffective in the playoffs for 2 years now. You're telling me AL Jeff (Averages 9 a game), Jared Sullinger (6 a game in only 18 minutes!) and Kevin Garnett (12 a game) couldn't out rebound the heat? Lol get outta here. And Barbosa, Terry, and Sully couldn't score? I'm done
