I think Danny was wrongfully crucified and after watching Perk getting paid 25 million while doing nothing confirms it.

I 'm a Perk fan , but he was worthless last night against Houston.  Fab Melo could actually done more I believe.  Perk moved like he is 95 years old.

If we had just kept Perk the rest of that year , then traded I'd been more happy.

Water under the bridge now and better off with Green.

OKC had kept Green and Hardin , they would be unstoppable .

Ha how many revisiting threads do we have?

I feel like its pretty simple.

People didn't want the trade at the time. Thought we had a chance to win that year with Perk and with Shaq injured it screwed us. Jeff didn't play last year and presumably Perk could have helped us (although I guess he lrob wouldn't be with us at that point anyway)

Now moving forward from this year on I'd assume that everyone is happy and comfortable moving forward with Green rather than Perk

I wish the trade never happened, if only to not see these threads pop up any time one of the two has a good game and the other have a bad game.

Do we have to revisit it again?

Green was a free agent this past year, he chose to be a Celtic.  The end.

Gotta say this again.

If the Krstic part of the trade panned out it would have been so much better.

He could have been better than any of our non-KG bigs.

I still think we won the trade.   It was brutal though, Perk was part of the Celtic family and had gave us a lot.  But today JG is the better player.

Absolutely. Was it the lockout that kinda screwed us with that?

I believe that was part of it.  I also think it was due to him falling out of Doc's rotation in the playoffs.  Krstic would have been a big help backing up KG the past 2 years.

Part of that was also getting injured right before the playoffs.

Nate Robinson's scoring would sure be useful right now though.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Yes, and we also got screwed with the draft pick. The [dang] Clippers were in the lottery for how many years? Then we get the pick and they get CP3 and of course not only make the playoffs, but had a worse pick than us.

Sully not a bad consolation prize though

Trading Perk cost us a legitimate shot at a championship in 2011.

Until Green helps get us back to that level, I'm still not in love with the trade.  Danny could have waited until the off-season and still signed-and-traded Perk.

Interesting why it is trading a one-legged Perk that cost us the championship, and not Shaq's injury. I guess the second interpretation makes it harder to pile on the management.
