no use in "losing" it if its something that is uncertain and also out of your control.  just enjoy while we can.

Well, yeah...its kinda like puttn old dog down.  Been a fun ride. wif KG and Paul

Hope they can do an encore and play another day , but if they can't , well...

heck we'll just have to get over it and move on. ....just like with Bird and all the rest that have come and gone. :)

I'll deal with it when they hang it up. We've still got, at the very least, hours left.

I feel extremely confident that both are back. KG made the 2 year commitment last summer. He has a no trade clause. He is going nowhere.

As for Pierce, I doubt ownership will allow a deal that isn't bringing back either a very good chance at a lottery pick in 2014 or a young star with some attitude problems or flawed in some manner.

So I believe he is back, as well as KG, and there is just zero chance Pierce and KG retire when both are still a top 5-6 position player at their position in this league and true leaders of men, on and off the basketball court.

KG could easily leave but I don't see it either. If he really was retiring at the end of the year I think he'd have been more likely to take a shot at a good playoff run with Blake and CP3 instead of playing out the inevitable string without Rondo.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
I felt kind of bad about kidding "suck it up" earlier. I was only trying to say "lighten up". I feel it too. This could very well be a sad moment for us.  :'(

I'm not here all the time but when I am, I remember like 2 years ago posting on here and people were yelling for us to "trade KG, or trade Pierce, or trade Ray", I can remember saying "We're going to look back on this era of the Celtics when it's over and we're going to miss them". I truly mean that. The time is getting ever so near.

But I am going INTO tonight with a belief that we CAN win tonight and bring it at the very least back to Boston for 1 more game at the worst. I'm personally not thinking about what happens if we lose. I was thinking we were going to lose when we came into this series. I was thinking we were going to lose after Game 3. The inevitable is nearing. If not tonight or this series or this year even....it's not terribly long off.

That's why I'm gonna just love watching them play tonight. Win or Lose. The cards are stacked against us and the probability is it is over tonight.

But I'm going into tonight thinking we are going to win. Cause I don't want to face the reality of us losing.

It's a defense mechanism I guess.  :-\

I don't know why but I feel they are going to win tonight. I'm usually a gloom and doom type of guy so it's weird I have this feeling! Pierce is going to be tough tonight! KG will play tough and dare I say Jeff Green grows a pair tonight! I think the Knicks will end up winning the series but not tonight!
