We are huge underdogs tonight and realistically, as crazy as it sounds, wouldnt they want to go out on the biggest stage in the NBA, at MSG?

I bleed green. I am a die hard. But i am a realist. These Celtics and the New Big 3 Era Dies tonight. And I am a complete mess because of it.

I think they can still win tonight. I think they could very well lose. I believe they're win, I know the odds are they'll lose.

Whatever, right? You don't think, "This is probably about to be done any moment..." as you're riding a rollercoaster. Ya just ride it out, and its over when its over.

I'm trying to not think about it, but to just enjoy it, but I understand where you're coming from.

I'd like to add that I don't think MSG is the biggest basketball stage—however many big games have been played there, nothing beats the parquet at the REAL Gahden!

I don't think that Pierce will retire.  I do think that this could be his last game as a Celtic.

As for KG, I don't think even he knows what he plans to do yet.

That alone is a heart-breaker... :'(

I plan to see Pierce playing again next season.

And I think KG hasn't quite made up his mind yet either way.

Even "IF" we lose, I don't think this would be KG and PP's last game.

They wouldn't go out like that. Not those two.

They would like to return with Rondo and Sully back - and healthy, and run this thing one more time.

Look at the odds, and bigger picture, here...we can no longer say that our team is "cursed", or whatever.

Look at Kobe's (And Laker's) situation.

Clips have Blake with a high ankle sprain...and could very well end up losing that series.

Who could've foresaw Russell Westbrook's injury? Wow.

I really believe that the odds could very well swing in our favor next yr....there is NO ONE else left to get injured on our team :).

KG and Truth will be back again.

I think you're right about KG, but I feel like he is a player who doesn't want to play diminished by injury and at this point it seems quite hard for him to make it to the postseason close to full strength (acknowledging that no one is 100% and all).

Losing it?

....

Watching them play this season has been painful at times. You know what they say about too much of a good thing...

If Pierce is gone, then KG is gone...think of it that way.

But I'm ready for anything. Tonight may be their final games of their careers. If the Knicks are routing us, I wish to see the Knick fans giving them a standing ovation when they sub out in the 4th quarter  :'(

I feel extremely confident that both are back. KG made the 2 year commitment last summer. He has a no trade clause. He is going nowhere.

As for Pierce, I doubt ownership will allow a deal that isn't bringing back either a very good chance at a lottery pick in 2014 or a young star with some attitude problems or flawed in some manner.

So I believe he is back, as well as KG, and there is just zero chance Pierce and KG retire when both are still a top 5-6 position player at their position in this league and true leaders of men, on and off the basketball court.

I'm not losing it, but that's not to say I won't be drinking heavily during the game with this on my mind.
