Anyone still think that his shoulder is not 100 percent?

Or does he think he is stricly a jump shooter now?

What happened to all those amazing cuts to the basket last season?? Also drove more for some acrobatic layups.

Defense is still pretty good, but we are seeing more and more guys like JR Smith, Ty Lawson and other quicker or taller guards not being bothered at all

Can someone else provide some insight? especially last year vs this years bradley. Not having Rondo is not an excuse since without Rondo for a good part of last year, Bradley was good.

its not his shoulder... he's never been that good.  He had a month of hot shooting towards the end of last season... other than that, he's always been a weak offensive player.  He's also extremely small... 6'2 and 180 pounds.  Felton has 25 pounds on him.  Avery is too tiny.  Not a long-term solution at SG at all.

I think that's all there is to say.

Well i was hoping for more. At least cut to the basket and help out offensively.  I know he is a streaky shooter at best.

I believe I have seen it reported that he lacks upper body strength due to recovering from injuries to both shoulders and it is affecting his ability to finish.

My impression of Bradley hasn't changed.  I've consistently called him a "vastly undersized poor man's Tony Allen without the mental lapses"... or "rich man's Marcus Banks".  People scoffed at me when I said Tony was a better offensive player... but it's true.

  • You say when......
Well, you have to look ath the NEW demands of him...some think what rondo did, anyone can do....by now you might think otherwise....moving the ball, bringing it up..= not too easy...doing that and defending and scoring.....ha....no way....only rondo can...Bradley is better when rondo is there to do the rest...bard can score and defend...handling the ball.....not so yet.....

Seems to me like we're seeing something like the chicken-with-its-head-cut-off Bradley that we saw at the start of his NBA career.

He seems to get overhyped and too frantic when he moves to another, faster, more physical level of competition.

That he's not very effective as a PG is something we knew already, and some of him limitations have been exposed in the playoffs, where teams have more time to prepare for the opposition.

But it is easy to forget that he won't even turn 23 until next season.  I think he has put too much pressure on himself to show he's more than a one-dimensional player.  It's been reported for years now that he's a great shooter in practice, and we saw him bring that into games once he got into a rhythm last year.

By next year he'll be stronger and healthier, he'll have his shot refined going into the season, he'll settle down again--and he will no longer be asked to do more than he's capable of.

Age is no longer an excuse for Avery; but he is playing with three vets and Jeff Green. You can't blame him for deferring to the others a little; however when a guy is abusing you like Felton was you have to has an answer either on the offensive or defensive end - just do something out there.

If Felton is going to muscle him, what do you think JR Smith is going to do when he gets back. He did have a steal late in the game on the out of bounds; but did not pressure Felton early to prevent them from getting into the pick and roll.

Also: Avery Bradley took a huge step back in this series. Sloppy offensively, can't shoot, getting abused by Felton. Just a total stinkbomb.

I think we've seen Danny try to land a real scoring guard the last couple of years and Bradley's best current role is as a lock-down defensive specialist against PG's, where he can be teamed with a larger PG who is able to defend the two.

I am expecting his offense to improve, but probably not to the level the C's ultimately need in a starter unless they have strong next-generation scorers at the center and forward positions.

he is missing Rondo...same thing with Brandon bass offensively.

both of them arent creators..they are guys who can get open and need to be FED the ball.

most of Bradleys offense last year came from wide open 3-pointers off of Rondo drives, or cuts off of...you guessed it, attention being paid to rondo

I agree, and yet, he still starts and plays a ton of minutes while Lee rots on the bench. Go figure.
