Who from the end of the bench is on this team next year?

I am really surprised that with KG and Pierce under contract and I think both extremely likely to return that such a relatively small percentage of the people don't see the signing of the China 3 for non-guaranteed contracts next year as filler in a trade. Especially since I don't see Danny standing pat with this team in what may well be KG and Pierce's last year in Boston.

I feel Danny will do what he has to to add veteran quality depth up front for one final shot at a ring with KG and Pierce and for that reason he needed money filler that could be traded, count against the cap for a trade and yet still be released without any repercussions for the receiving team in the trade. Including them in any deal raises the amount of the contract you can receive in by over $4 million and still allows the receiving team to cut all three players without having any financial consequences.

Another reason I see it so likely is because this team has a clear need for rebounding and post offense in the front court and has an abundance of talent at the wing position with no less than 7 wing players(Green, Pierce, Lee, Terry, Crawford, Bradley, Williams). That rebounding and post offense in the front court would be great if it was also an expiring contract, so including some salary relief will be extremely logical.

Lastly, I think he will do it because he did it last year. The Lee trade was a masterpiece including a sign and traded Pavlovic(no one saw that coming and is why I included a sign and trade option for Wilcox) and Sean Williams, who was given an end of the year deal that was turned into a deal that included a non-guaranteed contract for 2012-2013. So, in other words, Danny has already done this with tremendous results. Can't see why he wouldn't do it again.

I think they are all going to be offered up as trade filler as Doc and Danny try to fill the hole in our front court and move out one of Lee, Terry or Bass (Crawford too although his salary is low so he probably would be paired with one of those.

I think they want to hold onto our 2014 pick so I assume our first this year, Melo and/or Crawford will be the major package with some combination of our Chinese players and/or those mentioned above.

If not used in a trade I'd like to see Randolph and Williams back for training camp at the very least. Williams has the talent and might be able to be useful and I think Shav showed enough to warrant a second look. I really think Crawford is going to develop into a valuable piece and Melo has been a long-term investment all along. Haven't seen White enough to say anything and I'm indifferent about Wilcox if he is coming back at the vet. min. (he occasionally worked really well with Rondo).
