If we believe hard enough it might just come true.

You need to STOP coming up with trades where we send out Brandon Bass and "filler" in return for other teams' best players or even good role players.

Bass is filler. Whatever trade he would be included in would revolve around another player/pick as the centerpiece. Bass would be the add on.

If we want Horford we are sending Rondo to Atlanta and they are going to pair him with Josh Smith. There is no way that they send Horford out of town for anything less, let alone Bass.

The only reasonable trade I've seen you propose is Bass and our 2013 first for Mozgov and Randolph. Now look at the talent coming back in that trade and compare it to Al Horford. See the difference?

I'm surprised Krook didn't use Varejao's head. But Al Horford would be nice too.

He's an All-Star, of course we'd be better... a third seed

It's another Krook thread!

And I think we'd better with Horford than Smoove, but landing the Center will be unlikely.

I guess that should start another thread. How would people feel if we traded Rondo for Horford? I think both teams pretty much get what they want. Atl gets to keep Smith and Boston's guard-heavy line-up gets a humongous boost at the Center position.

There are very very few players for who I would consider sending Rondo out...Horford makes a lot of sense.

Sure.  All you have to do is something like this.

Step 1: Acquire a likely top ten 2014 draft pick.
Step 2: Trade the pick and matching contracts to Atlanta.  You may also have to throw in a young player like Sullinger.

I love Horford and would really like to get him on the team but if we're sending out Rondo, we need more than Horford coming back.

I would imagine we would ask for Teague since he would be a bit redundant with Rondo there; however, with so many productive pgs in the league and so few centers, I am not so sure if the Hawks would even accept that deal without at least a player like Sullinger coming back.
