It seems pretty apparent to me that we need another ball handler to be playing when PP and Grenn take a rest.  Crawfordd is not a very good ball handler,  and I believe didn't even take a shot in 11 mins last night.

Terrence Williams at least has the handle of a pg,  and has shown he has very good vision and passing ability.  I also think he can stay with Jason Kidd better than Terry and crawford,  because he has the size and foot speed to stay in front of kidd.

Not saying to play him a lot,  but I think he would be a better option for 10 mins a game off the bench instead of Crawford, at least in this series....

I agree, but I don't think it's happening.

3rd choice for minutes behind Terry and Crawford. I think their scoring and shooting ability is more important for a team with limited firepower than T-Will's defense.

If both players continue to struggle, I would turn to T-Will but not before then.

Doc is going to give both of them a chance. We are going to have to in order to give Green some rest and T Will is going to have to guard Kidd or JR Smith. In one of these games we're going to see Bradley in early foul trouble which will force T Will into the game to guard Felton or JR Smith.

Unfortunately Crawford is just a fair liability against the Knicks because of their ball movement.
Even Jason Kidd at age 40 was just destroying him off picks and scored a few easy threes or was wide open, forcing us to pick him up and leaving our other defender's man wide open for a three.
If we didn't insert Crawford there's a large possibility that we going into half time with a 10+ lead.
Combine that with Avery's turnovers and we are up by 16-20 points  easily.
This loss to the Knicks screams out lost opportunity but thankfully there were enough good signs for us to make adjustments for a big game 2.
T Will's size and strength will be vital in guarding JR Smith and bullying him- particularly if Avery gets into foul trouble.
I think Doc should throw both T Will and Avery at JR Smith to mix it up and keep him working.
T Will can also get to the hole which is what we need. Give him some burn in the 2nd quarter and let him go to work in the third if Avery picks up foul 3 or 4 early.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Anyone would be better than Terry at this point.

T-Will should be second guard off the bench after Courtney Lee. Terry should be used in a House-like way, if he's hot keep him, if not use it in short spurts, at least on the road. He's played better at home.

A Bradley-Lee-TWill-Green-Garnett lineup could work against the Knicks when you need to rest the Captain. The Shavior should give Garnett 10 minutes of rest. Don't play Bass at center, he does really well at the 4 against Caramello.

Crawford should get his current share of minutes. Instead, T-Will needs to get all of Terry's minutes. We could really use Delonte about now....

In this series, I agree.  You give up a little bit of offense with T-Will out there, but on the other hand I think he can really bother JR Smith with his defense.

Is the problem with T-Will not the opposite?

Suspect defender, good facilitator/slasher.

I'd rather see Shav and Wilcox than either. We should try going big.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

WE ARE NOT A BIG TEAM. My head is going to explode. If we want to play big we need to get quality bigs (not Shav and Wilcox).

As for T-Will over Crawford, I think Crawford's offensive potential warrants the 10+mins he sees. He has that burst that Terry is supposed to show (and can be just as streaky).

If he is getting any playing time it should cut into Terry's court time and should be early if Terry is struggling. Give him a few possessions and see if his size can knock JR off his game and if it fails we can still go back without losing too much.

I'm not ready to give up on Terry though. He really struggled last night, but I still think there is hope that he can find his stroke and be a 4th quarter difference maker. One big game might be enough to get him in the groove.
