New York looks almost nothing like they did in the final stretch of the regular season.

While I understand that the pace slows down in the playoffs historically, they should at least be attempting to play the style that made them a 55 win team... right?

Perhaps our suffocating defense was too much for them... they're too tired now to play another defensive stalwart

The Knicks whole offense is reliant on isolation plays from Melo/smith taking bad shots that go in and the 3-ball

we've seen with the Magic the past few years that you can win alot of games relying on the 3-point shot...but in the playoffs it isnt always so reliable to bring you to the promised land

Right, but they've completely ignored the strategy that made them a winning team. That's the head scratcher.

They led the league in threes facilitated by frantic, ethusiastic ball movement. They attempted eleven threes in Game three, and got sucked into hero ball. They played A'Mare--who hasn't helped a team with a basketball game since George W. Bush was in office.

And I've been watching the games--Indiana is a great defensive squad, but a lot of it looks like the Knicks are all going "oh, right, this is on national TV... I better try to hit an off-the-dribble 20ft jumper so everyone in TV  land knows I'm awesome."

'Melo always does that, of course, but JR Smith should be driving and shooting threes. You know, playing like he was when he won SMOTY.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Maybe the Knicks just arent ready for the pressure of the playoffs...which is kind of strange though when you consider how many veterans are on that team.

so it seems Melo/Smith want to just jack up a million horrible shots instead of moving the ball and doing what got them the #2 seed in the east to begin with..

Excellent low post defense by Bogut on Duncan. Blocks the first shot. Strongly contests drive and forces a miss on the second shot. Golden State come down and tie it on the other end.

No idea what San Antonio were thinking going to Duncan on the block against Bogut at that late stage in the game. Gotta put the ball in Tony Parker's or Manu Ginobili's hands. Oh there we go, Parker with the pull up jumper. Spurs up two.

Great drive by Klay Thompson. Kawhi Leonard was all over him in the corner and defended him well early in the drive. Klay just kept going and finally wiggled free for the banked runner. Beautiful. Tie game.

Well, I'd say it was pretty fitting GS missed that potential game winner.  SA got robbed on the missed out of bounds call against Bogut on the previous play.

The Bogut for Ellis trade is looking pretty darn good for golden state right now.

Massive shot by H.Barnes to put GSW up 6. Loved that pull up jumper over Manu.

Barnes has come up big today for GS.

18 rebounds in 28 minutes from Bogut. Played some really tough defense too.

Jarrett Jack was huge off the bench for Golden State also.

He's really a game changer. That defense against Duncan in tegulation was huge.

SO DO I!

Gutted out a win after quarters of bad shooting. Played hard nosed defense and made shotsIn the end.

Worried about Steph's ankles, but hey, because of this win, I'LL BE GOING TO GAME 6 (if there are tickets left).
