I think I saw enough last night to be extremely pessimistic going into the postseason.  However, I don't understand why we are not going with the lineup that put us on a huge winning streak after Rondo went down.  Why are we not starting Pierce, Garnett and Bass in the frontcourt and Lee and Bradley in the backcourt?  That lineup set the tone defensively and can generate enough offense with the frontcourt.

I understand that Green is a large offensive talent (who albeit, had a horrendous game last night), but we need some punch off the bench and starting Green is forcing Pierce to play out of position.  Pierce cannot pick up a ballhandler for 94 feet, nor can he defend quicker shooting guards.

I think we have experimented with Pierce and Green long enough.  Go back to what worked before and hope for the best.  This team cannot hit any shots, so they will have to win with their defense.

FWIW, I am more open to starting Green and bringing Pierce off the bench than I am open to having Pierce start the game out of position.  Our pitbulls turned the season around and now we are going away from that.

The Bradley, Lee, Pierce, KG and Bass lineup works.  I do not need to start Green and Bass together, but I am more open to that, with the Captain coming off the bench, than I am open to having Pierce start at shooting guard.

The main point of my post was that Lee and Bradley pressuring the ball gave us a defensive identity that we have yet to find with Pierce starting at shooting guard.

I'll be interested to see what lineup he starts on Friday against Miami.  I'd like to see him go with Bradley, Lee, Pierce, Green and Garnett against the Heat or the Knicks and the bigger lineup of Bradley, Green, Pierce, Bass and Garnett against Brooklyn, Chicago, or Indiana.  I'm not sure what I think is best if we were to end up playing the Hawks at some point.  They run a strange big/small lineup with Smith at the three and Horford and (I think) Ivan Johnson in the front court.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson
