we more likely will "GET" owned...... the Celtics stars are fading and missing Rondo .....may prove to be too much to overcome.

The KNICKS, HEAT , OKC ...have no excuses ...they are loaded with young stars in their prime.

I hope we can win a few games anyways. :D

would love it if you were right but I think the current injuries, the diminished returns from KG and PP as well as the ineffective/inconsistant play from Green, JET, Lee and Bradley will have them fighting to just take 2 games in the first round.

It will be more challenging without Rondo and Sully but I still don't doubt this team. They still have Pierce and KG and neither one of them will allow this team to fold against anyone they meet in any round. I still see them getting past tha Knicks. But for this team to have a real chance, Green, Lee, and most definitely Terry will have to pick it up.

Yeah, not buying that at all. If we were playing good before he went down then Id buy it. We were playing horrible with him and now all of a sudden we miss him? Nah.

Unless by missing rondo you meant they are literally missing rondo. If so my bad.

Having Rondo would be a huge boost to our team's playoff chances.  With him, I believe we would be a legitimate contender for a title.  Without him, I'm just hoping to get by the first round.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I use to think like you. Now, I'm not so sure. I need to see rondo and this team gel first before I say that. I didn't see it this year, at all.

Id take rondo back now tho and take my chances with him screwing up chemistry. Just because hes an allstar player. Id still pick the heat to beat us tho so nothing would really change with my predictions.

Even a terrible team can make an upset.

The Knicks are nowhere near invincible...

I think this team can be really dangerous IF we have guys clicking but it hasn't happened all year and we'll see if it happens this post season. My bet is on it not happening.

I would say the team was clicking when they went 14-4 after Rondo went down.  The formula during that stretch seemed to be full court ball pressure and pushing the ball up the court, not only after forcing turnovers, but after made baskets too.  If they can get back to playing that way I think they can make a run!

The formula was just letting these guys play freely and making the right play. As soon as doc started to try to coach we started losing. I find that to be hilarious and sad.

yes and no
i think the KG injury hurt us...still havent bounced bk, and i honestly think some guys may still be hurt about losing to MIA that one time. Keep in mind that at the beginning of the season it was 'we want to beat miami'

doc still doesn't have a clue with these players though

Well here's Ainge's take on it today:

Quote
“Mike, you don’t replace Rajon Rondo. He was the starter on the Eastern Conference All-Star Team. He is a guy who has been able to neutralize the Chris Paul’s and the Deron Williams and the stars that we play against. Rondo — I’ve been telling you this from the time Rondo got hurt when everyone was saying our team was playing as good without him: Rondo has been a most valuable player in at least a few, but maybe more than few — maybe a handful of playoff series the last few years with some of the best players in the world in those playoff series. He has been the most valuable player in those series. Against Chicago, against Cleveland. Against Orlando. He has had spectacular playoff series. Legendary. Legendary. Last year against Miami, he was the one by far that gave us an opportunity to beat Miami and put us ahead 3-2 in that playoff series. I think it goes without saying that we’ll miss Rondo. I don’t now who …. nobody is going to replace Rondo. We just have to find a different way to win.

-This team right now is reverting back to it's old ways of playing, they have ball movement, but it's not resulting in baskets especially when they have to play the half court.

Can you remember the last COMPLETE game the C's have played? The month of March was not kind to them. But I hope the C's prove everyone wrong like they do year after year and have people eating crow.
