Everyone's being quite pessimistic, so go Celtics!

I usually am pretty optimistic. But we will see. I would like our chances more if..

1.Terry would start playing like the Jason Terry we signed.
2.Lee starts hitting some 3's and be a part of the offense.
3.Some one hit the boards some what hard on either end.
4.We had Rondo

I think this team can be really dangerous IF we have guys clicking but it hasn't happened all year and we'll see if it happens this post season. My bet is on it not happening.

I know my tune will probably change as soon as the playoffs start and i get really amped for it. But losses like tonight really hurt my confidence.

I would say the team was clicking when they went 14-4 after Rondo went down.  The formula during that stretch seemed to be full court ball pressure and pushing the ball up the court, not only after forcing turnovers, but after made baskets too.  If they can get back to playing that way I think they can make a run!

The formula was just letting these guys play freely and making the right play. As soon as doc started to try to coach we started losing. I find that to be hilarious and sad.

Unless Garnet and Pierce can play at something of their former level  ,   they writing is on the wall for a short series.

KG is our superstar big ,  with out him playing HUGE minutes , like Kobe is for LA , then Celtics aren't going anywhere.

28 minutes of KG isn't gonna get it done.

Celtics need his best intensity and level full 40 minutes to beat the top teams in a series.

10 years ago KG and PP could have taken the current bench and slaughtered most of the competition .  When they could sustain 45 min games LIKE DURANT, LBJ and Kobe are gonna play for their teams.

I hope they stay and retire, but realistically they are too old to put the C's on their backs and win a championship at this point..

Just looking forward to an entertaining series with the Knicks. They are banged up too.

37% chance we win. 80% chance it goes at least 6 games.

There is really little to support this, especially since we've been so bad on the road.

But I appreciate the faith and I'd love, LOVE, to be wrong.  Losing to the Knicks in the first round would kill me and even if we can't go any further, beating them would be satisfying to me.

I am just curious as to what evidence from this regular season suggests we are going to "own the playoffs."

I am not necessarily disagreeing, but am also very curious as to how we are going to own the playoffs with a short-handed roster vs the likes of the Knicks, Heat, Bulls, Nets, etc.

We were doomed regardless of Doc's coaching decisions. We just simply don't have the talent with Rondo, Sully and even Barbosa going down. The talent that we do have is either old or streaky, so either way we weren't going to be able to keep playing consistently well.

Yeah we were playing freely and making good plays, but teams hadn't seen us play like that before. After a handful of games they started being able to adjust to us. KG and PP were playing out of their minds to make up for our losses, but their age has started to catch up to them and Green/Terry/Bradley have all been streaky resulting in our up and down play.

Lets just hope that the Celtics can get hot in the playoffs, stay healthy and get lucky. As long as we don't get swept and are competitive I'll be happy. I'm surprised this team has stayed competitive this long.
