Shabazz is more of a 3.

The only big worth drafting is noel. the others are garbage.

I think in the NBA he is going to be a 2/3. I listed him as a 2 because that is the position I think he will have to defend in the NBA.

I have to disagree that the rest of the bigs in this draft are garbage. I expect Len and Mcgary to be starting NBA centers, as will one or two of the raw prospects (Gobert, Jaiteh,Adams, and Austin). Dieng, Withey, Plummly and Zeller should all have long careers coming of nba benches.

How about DeMar DeRozan as a comparison for Shabazz?

From what I have read, I think those two seem pretty similar.

DeRozan is a much more explosive athlete than Shabazz. I liken him more to Caron Butler.

Buy a high 2nd rounder and draft Recardo Ledo. He hasn't played a day of NCAA ball due to ineligibility, but was a top recruit. He's a 6'6/6'7 shooting guard with great ball handling ability, a good shooting stroke, and nice athleticism. He reminds me of Jamal Crawford.

Ricky's a local boy but I think he's coming out too early.  should have played a year at PC (or 2) before coming out.

Late second round pick, I think.

He was ranked the 2nd best shooting guard and 6th best prospect coming out of highschool. If a guy like Adetokunbo is expected to go just outside the Lotto, no reason Ledo won't be an early 2nd. With a 2nd round pick in a weak draft he's no risk, high reward.

I like the idea of Ledo as a second rounder and leave him in maine for the year. Not sure that Danny will pick up a 2nd round pick with T-Will, Ranolph on partial contracts for next season.

After getting to see some of the Foreign player in the hoop summit this is ranking top 20 players. Figure any player outside of top 12 could end up a celtic.

1.  Noel
2.  McLemore
3.  Porter
4.  Burke
5.  Len
6.  Bennett
7.  Oladipo
8.  Muhammad
9.  Carter-Williams
10. McCollum
11. Zeller
12. Olynyk

13. Gobert (tons of potential with his un real length and solid mobility, high risk high reward center)
14. Caldwell-Pope (high potential 6'6 scoring shooting guard)
15. Plumlee (low potential well rounded athletic 4/5, could step right in and compete for min)
16. Karasev (already avg 16+pts in high level Russian league, could be better Kyle Korver)
17. Saric (3/4 with well rounded game with great size, solid RB at SF)
18. Adetokoubo (long, athletic, raw mystery player from greece, is reported to have Batum like potential)
19. Crabbe (great size at SG, very productive college player, should contribute as rookie)
20. Dieng (long athletic center, his ceiling is as a great role player, should compete for min as rookie)

Out of the 13-20,

Gobert and Adetokoubo have the highest potential

Saric and Coldwee-Pope also have high potential just not as high but also less likely to be complete busts.

Crabbe and Karesev could both come of the bench and play the wing next season.

Dieng and Plumlee could both surpass Melo in the rotation and see minutes next season.

With all that being said I would be happy with any of these players. If I had to choose I would go with Gobert then Adetokoubo and try to hit the home run prospect. Both could be left in Europe for a year or two to develop while a more NBA ready player takes the Cs roster spot.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I still don't understand why Dieng isn't top 10 at least in my book... Seems like a steal for us to grab him instead... He has a nice jumper, has blocked better athletes, and overall has tougher competition than Gobert.

Plumlee? Yuck. Another player below 7? Great, just exactly what we need again.

We should grab either Dieng, or whoever would have the highest ceiling as a trade piece.
