Meta World Peace is back practicing and probably about to play less than two weeks after knee surgery. Miracle or what?

It's all about heart. And World Peace's got a lot of heart. Respect for putting team about individual.

He's a great defender, I'll give him that, but I personally can't stand the guy, and I never could, (I'm being kind in my phrasing).

As far as heart goes, I guess it's all in how you look at it ... maybe I'm just too negatively biased to make that call about him, (or want to).

To each his own.

I'd be happy to never see him on the court again, but clearly he has too much heart to accommodate me in that respect.

(I think I just contradicted myself ... no I didn't).

Comes back 12 days after surgery that was supposed to keep him sidelined for 6 weeks. I kind of agree with tha last two comments. It's either that or he's dismissing tha doctors order and being a soldier for his team to help them sneak in tha playoffs.

I've never been a fan of Artest and I think he dug himself too big of a hole reputation wise from his early years in the league to ever be able to change the way he is perceived by fans with the brawl, the way he left the Pacers, the cognac and bath robe stuff etc. But he has always been entertaining. He is one of those "characters" that you might not like or respect, but is always good for a laugh and he actually had game.

But when I see something like this I can't help but have a lot more respect for the guy. Say all you want about HGH, painkillers or whatever else. All this says to me is HEART. To come back that quick, to have that toughness, to make that kind of sacrifice for the TEAM is something I really respect. And to be honest its not something I would think Artest would do based on his personality.

And he definitely gave the Lakers a lift just by being on the court. His numbers aren't anything spectacular (4 points and an assist) but he was a +12 out there, which just goes to show you the lift he gave the rest of the guys on the court.

I still don't like Artest, but I definitely respect him more now.

Haha I love how Pierce just drains it in his face after that play. Great video.
