I am amazed that so many people answered no.
The question posed was CAN the Bucks beat the cHeat. With "can" being the operative word, I think that the answer is a clear "yes".
If the question were "will" they beat the cHeat, then I gotta go with "NO".
Many of us have followed sports since we were first able to watch TV/listen to the radio. Anything CAN happen in sports. (Red Sox in '04 as just one of many examples) "Will"it is another matter.
if you're worried about semantics, then sure, Milwaukee can beat the Heat -- provided Bron, Wade AND Bosh all go down with injuries and the rest of the roster shoots like crap in every game and also plays toreador D against the Bucks.
It's not just so simplistically semantics.
In the 9th inning with the Sox down in the 4th game of the ALCS and down in the series 3-0...well you know the rest.
Was their comeback possible? The answer is obvious. Was it improbable? The answer is also obvious. But they did it, it did happen And no, Jeter didn't break his leg and Rivera didn't go down with an injury, etc etc.
To say that Bosh, Wade and James ALL have to go down with injuries, that they have to shoot like crap AND they all play shabby defense in order for the Bucks to win is hyperbole.
If
one of those players get injured
or if the cHeat shoot like crap
or if they play crappy D, I think that the cHeat are vulnerable to the Bucks or any of the other six weaker sisters in the Eastern Conference.
Do I think that the cHeat will lose if one of those things happen? Not necessarily. Do I think that it could happen? Absolutely, and not as highly unlikely as many on here seem to think.
Will I hit Powerball for $50 mil? The odds are almost infinitesimally against me. Many here seem to be putting the Bucks chances of beating the cHeat in that same category of probability. I think that is unwise.
