  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
It sucks that Boston chose to play its worse ball of the season at the end... they have no chance against New York or Indiana, can't get a lottery pick, and have a very uncertain future ahead of them. Boston fans should find solace in the fact that they get to watch the Celtics four more times! ;D (at least)

See what I did there?

But at least we have a chance against the Knicks, and the Pacers?...

A lot of Celtic fans know where we're going... Either up with a nice draft pick, and some good trades in the off season, or down once KG/PP retire and we have no firepower left whatsoever.

maybe if Lebron breaks his leg.

Lebron can play 48 min a game for a whole series , NO SWEAT ,   you put him on any NBA team and they are going to go deep into the playoffs .

This is the best version of LBJ ever, he has learned to save his best for the last quarter, where he just wills his team with athletic ability and energy  to the win.

The Bucks could be up every game , but in the end they will lose when LBJ puts his game into hyper -destroy mode..... blocking shots, stealing, threes, defense....he just is unstoppable.  (with refs help)

I think it is best to pick ONE phase of LBJ game and try and take it away from him.

Also remenber,,,the HEAT get all the calls, NOTHING will go the BUCKS way......the refs never call fouls on James or Wade.....then NBA will never be unbiased when it comes to talent and calls.

Heat are the champs and get all the calls....it will be a task far beyond  the Bucks talent.

They have no chance with Stern at the helm, the refs beat us last year and they are not going to let the Heat lose until the finals if at all.  They may lose a game but not a series.

Do you think it's the refs that will keep the Bucks from winning the series?

No. Just ... no.

I am amazed that so many people answered no.

The question posed was CAN the Bucks beat the cHeat. With "can" being the operative word, I think that the answer is a clear "yes".

If the question were "will" they beat the cHeat, then I gotta go with "NO".

Many of us have followed sports since we were first able to watch TV/listen to the radio. Anything CAN happen in sports. (Red Sox in '04 as just one of many examples) "Will"it is another matter.

if you're worried about semantics, then sure, Milwaukee can beat the Heat -- provided Bron, Wade AND Bosh all go down with injuries and the rest of the roster shoots like crap  in every game and also plays toreador D against the Bucks.

I guess the difference there is that the 04 Red Sox were just as good as the 04 Yankees while the 13 Bucks are not even close to the 13 HEAT.

Anything can happen but the odds are so incredibly slim that it isn't even worth considering.  I'd say the odds are roughly the same that the HEAT drop out of the NBA and decide to join the Euroleague instead.

It's not just so simplistically semantics.

In the 9th inning with the Sox down in the 4th game of the ALCS and down in the series 3-0...well you know the rest.

Was their comeback possible? The answer is obvious. Was it improbable? The answer is also obvious. But they did it, it did happen And no, Jeter didn't break his leg and Rivera didn't go down with an injury, etc etc.

To say that Bosh, Wade and James ALL have to go down with injuries, that they have to shoot like crap AND they all play shabby defense in order for the Bucks to win is hyperbole.

If one of those players get injured or if the cHeat shoot like crap or if they play crappy D, I think that the cHeat are vulnerable to the Bucks or any of the other six weaker sisters in the Eastern Conference.

Do I think that the cHeat will lose if one of those things happen? Not necessarily. Do I think that it could happen? Absolutely, and not as highly unlikely as many on here seem to think.

Will I hit Powerball for $50 mil? The odds are almost infinitesimally against me. Many here seem to be putting the Bucks chances of beating the cHeat in that same category of probability.  I think that is unwise.

Inexperienced playoffs team, inexperienced coach. Some okay talents in their squad.

Even if they "can", NOPE. David Stern won't allow that. I don't see them stealing one in Miami, and if it's 2-0 in the series already, the pressure is on them.

Heat in 5.

I'm going to predict that the Bucks upset the Heat in the first round.  You heard it here first.
