Finally!

Obviously you want your best players to play the most minutes in the playoffs, and it's easier to do that with Green starting.  I want Green playing around 40 MPG in the playoffs, and KG and Paul maybe high 30s.

The Celtics have no chance if Doc loosens up his minute restrictions on Garnett.

The Celtics have no chance if KG can't play greater minutes.

Maybe for Games 1-2 of the first and second series, limit him to just 30 minutes?

I feel he can take on 37 again. Depends on how that injury is...

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
Bradley
Lee
Pierce
Green
Garnett

Terry
Crawford
Williams
Bass
Wilcox/Randolph

I like this.

Bradley
Pierce
Green
Bass
Garnett

Terry
Crawford
Lee/Williams
Randolph
Wilcox

This isn't bad, either.

Next year, I wouldn't mind seeing Green start in place of Pierce. Rondo/Bradley/Green/Sully/KG would be an aggressive defensive lineup, and puts our best rebounders on the floor. Plus, having offensive sparks like Terry, Lee and Pierce on the bench would be huge and we wouldn't give up leads like we're notorious for. I really don't see the offense stalling too bad without Pierce's shot making either, they all know how to get buckets. Let the younger guys play heavy minutes, Pierce will be in at the end regardless.

This season, when KG plays more than 35 minutes, he often looks bad on offense towards the end of the game and in the next game, not hitting jumpers that he used to make.

I'd like to see Bass playing 25-30 minutes, Green taking most of the other minutes at the 4, and someone (Randolph seems more likely than Wilcox or White) stepping up so that Garnett is playing 30-35 most of the time.

Wow, gotta tip my hat to doc on this move. Wasn't sure he had it in him to make such a move so late in the season.

-So likely Bass will be coming off bench when KG returns.

I actually hope it's Lee.

Our absurd Green/Pierce combo at the wings seems to cause a lot of teams problems.

No small ball would be nice.

I like it, Green is without question the 3rd best player on this team and we need him for 36 a night.

Him alongside Pierce and Garnett for as much as possible is a good thing. He'd likely be the last one subbed out barring foul trouble, so the second unit can use one or both of KG/PP.

Just need to figure out who gets the backup PT in the backcourt between JET, Lee, Crawford, and even Williams.... And whether Wilcox should get benched in favor of Shavlik.

Let's get Pierce and KG healthy within the next 10 days and bring on any foe come April 21!

I don't think replacing Pierce with Green is putting all your best rebounders out there.

Yeah Pierce is a better rebounder than Green by a wide margin, especially given how much more he's given on the glass since Sullinger/Rondo went out.

I like Green as a starter. I supported tha thought and definitely think he's earned it. Just didn't know if he would be able to handle tha minutes yet since this is his first year back from surgery. But Green has stepped up big time and he definitely impressed me. I wasn't one of tha Green "haters" but he's come along far better than what I expected.

With Rondo and Sully coming back I think we'll finally see what all of us expected of this team this season, next season. Tha Celtics will be scary next year.

I'm sure that was just a slip of the tongue. No way anybody thinks JG is a better rebounder at this point in time.

If KG plays anywhere near 37 minutes a game we're going to lose 1-4.  We might win the first game but we'll be cooked the rest of the series.
