Can Green or Pierce guard 2's? Should they? I see them spending half of the game trying to chase 2-guards around screens and it seems like a huge waste of their energies.

I think so... Especially In a system that prevents offensive transition by keeping away from crashing the boards on the offensive end.

And offensively this makes the most sense with JG playing the wing and Pierce playing point-forward, I suppose?

I think they could rotate that role in the half court set. Pierce is a better spot up shooter

So how does this shake out?

C - KG
PF - Bass
SF - Green
SG - Pierce
PG - AB

Bass has been playing well as of late.

I like this. Bass or Wilcox at that 4 slot anyway.

Way too many shooters, I think. Green should come off the bench while Crawford/Lee starts. Green should still get his 38 minutes though.

I hope it's like this...I really believe that Bass is gearing up for another fine playoff run like he had last year.

He's due.

In any event, I'm slightly concerned about scoring off the bench...I hope Jet becomes Playoff Jet here pretty soon.

But with the way that Paul-Jeff have been playing of late?

Awesome.

Jeff Green getting 35+ minutes is going to pay huge dividends for us here the next couple of months, and I'm glad.

did bass really have a fine run last postseason?  he had that one huge game against philly, but other than that he underperformed compared to what he did in the regular season

Basically the same. But that same as his great regular season. He was Mr.Consistency last year. I see it again this postseason. Just the right time, BB!

I'm against this move.

I hate the idea of Pierce, Green, KG all in the same lineup.

Why?!  really?

I feel like i've been arguing with people like you all season.  Explain, especially with all the evidence we now have.

Pierce and green have been averaging a near combined50 points per game when they start together.  Explain how adding a tall defensively skilled Allstar in Garnett could be a bad thing here!??!?

I'm the biggest Jeff Green fan here, but I don't see him getting the shots he needs to get when he plays with two All-Stars who also need shots.

He would be better off coming in for KG at the 6-minute mark, where he would still get his time with Pierce.

[first six minutes]: PP + KG
[second six minutes]: PP + Green

At least, it seems better off that way.

Wrong.  If you are a big jeff green fan then he should start.  It is Rarely a good idea, RARELY, to have your 3rd/4th best player come off the bench.  Rare.

Plus you could say what you said about ANY other player that starts with KG and Pierce.  How does ANY one get shots off with those too.  With that reasoning Rondo should be coming off the bench to get his shots up?  Laughable.

someone else said that saving players for the bench is overrated around here, and it is absolutely true.

this shouldve happened awhile ago IMO....ive been saying for awhile that Green needs 10+ shots and 30+ minutes to succeed instead of expecting him to play 15minutes and 8 shots...and when he is given a bigger role...surprise, surprise he performs

gives 3 quality scorers in the starting lineup.

I like keeping Green at PF and Pierce at SF because...Green at PF gives the C's a HUGE offensive advantage at that position and I dont really want pierce running through screens at SG

now Bradley/Lee can go back to scoring off defenses focusing on those guys instead of trying to make scoring

I believe he had a fine post-season.

The main reasons why we lost to MIA in 7 games was NOT Bass...it was a lack of AB, Wilcox and Jeff Green.

Bass didn't hurt us, and I believe his net worth to us last post-season was mostly good.
