Jeff Green will likely remain in the starting lineup, even when KG comes back. Doc says he's earned it.

Doc says Jeff Green is a permanent starter. “I think he’s earned that,” Rivers said. Green could start at various positions #celtics

-So likely Bass will be coming off bench when KG returns.

Good for him, he has earned it.  Also, right now a lineup with Pierce, Green and KG in the frontcourt is our best overall lineup.  so Im good with that
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Yes, he's definitely proved that he can handle being a starter and him and Pierce are really gelling on the court.

I forgot Lee was starting again..yeah, I think he'll go back to the bench and they'll have a "big" small-ball lineup.

Bass has been playing fairly well. It might be Lee or Bradley (more likely Lee) coming off the bench as well. I don't necessarily think demoting Bass when he's playing well is the best idea but that would give us more depth in the frontcourt.

If this really is permanent Danny should look into what he can get for Lee or Bradley over the summer.

I think I like the idea of starting Green over Lee, also.

I wonder if Doc has the gumption to allow the starting lineup to be fluid.  Against the Pacers or Bulls I think it's best to start Bass.  Against the Knicks or Heat I think it's best to start Lee.

guess we'll see
but I have to assume Paul will rest against the Cavs, so JG will be the 3 and Lee will still be in.
So crazy.

During preseason, Doc said it was all about match-ups with the starting lineup.

Think lee goes to the bench some and bass goes to the bench some time depending on opponent since doc made the multiple positions comment.

Yup, my guess is that one of the guards goes to the bench. However, in view of Pierce's twisted ankle, maybe we can give him some time off, too.

Lol.. it's funny it took them all season to figure out what I knew prior the season even starting...

Jeff Green is a starter.

I was calling for us to start Pierce at SG and Green at SF... but if Green can hold his own at PF, you keep it as Bradley, Lee, Pierce, Green and KG.

Twas inevitable.  He was clearly the 4th best player on the team ... 3rd when Rondo went out.  No reason to bring him off the bench.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I agree with those who say Lee is likely the odd man out. Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling Doc isn't too happy with him these days?
