Nononono. Watch the highlights and count the well-contested long two's that he took.
He had some nice plays (2-3 gorgeous slashes to the basket), but mostly he got hot, played a dumb high volume game, and got an astronomical number of touch fouls.
Unless he's somehow a good shooter now (no way), he's going to lose the Wizards more games than he wins for them taking all of those jumpers.
He only missed 9 shots. He got to the line 24 times meaning he was driving to the hoop at some high rate. Like I stated above he is shooting 52% in march with 50% from behind the three line, while also getting to the line 6 times per game. Plus they are 20 and 15 in game Wall has played this year...
not sure you could ask for much more than that or how you could say he is going to hurt the wizards and lose games for them when they were 4 - 28 without him.
You are making my point. He only missed 9 shots. Half of his shots were iso jumpers from mid-to-deep range and Wall is a sub-par shooter. He's good, but he's one of the poorer jump shooters in the NBA- Memphis absolutely wanted him to take those shots. This time around, he got hot and it bit them.
He did a fantastic job getting to the foul line, but I watched this game and have no problem telling you that he had a lucky night with the calls, too.
My point is not that he played a bad game. He was awesome. My point is that NBA players have games like this given the opportunity. Wall is good, but he's a very inefficient player so far in his career. Putting him in the top 5 of point guards is CRAYCRAY.
