Great dunk.

If it was Jeff green on Mario Chalmers you'd be going nuts

Funny you say that because I was going to say this lol. People can downplay it all you want but you're in serious denial if you don't think that dunk was SICK! I still haven't watched it twice yet. That's how embarrassed I was for terry lol.

exactly
i literally put my face in my hand and probably said 'jesus'
no way you can try to take the nastiness away from that dunk

if you laughed at mozgov, brandon knight, big al or anyone else jeff posterized...please don't act too high and mighty for this dunk lol
I diddnt laugh at any of those guys but the mozgovand perk dunks were actually impressive because they are bigs.

This was not impressive in the least.

Not impressed.

At least do it against someone your own size.

In game dunk the impressed me:  Starks over Jordon and Grant.

In that case, you see two defenders who actually have a chance to stop that play.

Lebron dunked on a guy that 6 inches shorter and 80 pounds lighter.  That's a grown man owning a 6th grader.

First, Lebron's dunk was nasty and I agree with everyone who says we'd all be celebrating how sick it was if one of our guys wasn't on the business end of it. Also, this John Starks dunk is one of the most over-hyped dunks ever(in my opinion).  It always makes me laugh how people say Jordan got dunked on in this play.

Great dunk.
Lame bush league move after the dunk.
Kudos to Terry for contesting, kudos to all the other players for not over-reacting.
Pretty much sums it up for me, I'm done.
Celtics fan for life.

Dunks are not all that impressive, to me.  A 6'9" beast dunking on lil' ole Terry is even less impressive.  I'd hope LeBron could dunk on him.

I'll tell you what was impressive.  The game winning jumper LeBron hit over Green.  Winning matters.

I watched it live on TV.  It was a huge play in a playoff game.

Lebron dunked the ball against a smaller guy.  It was no more impressive then if he dunked it without a defender.

I guess I would expect most celtics fans to have the "Whatever not that good of a dunk" response. Still, there's people all over the world praying for terry after that poster! OWWWE! NASTY!

If green or pierce did that to ANYONE on the heat you guys would have lost your minds lol. Lebron probably stared him down because terry always trash talks lebron. "A well deserved tech" give me a break lol.

Terry being short takes nothing away from that dunk for me. He still got owned plan and simple. Plus because of terrys mouth nobody will cut him slack for it. Nobody but celtics fans. What did you want lebron to do? Not dunk on him because hes taller than terry?  ::)

i dont think terry got owned, nor do i think brandon knight got owned when he contested deandre jordan. these are dedicated ball players playing defense.

Then you are delusional

Personally, it's my opinion that people who get exicited over dunks like this just watch too much ESPN.  Style over substance, is what this is called.

Ooohhh!  Wow, look at the fancy dunk!

Two points is two freakin' points.

And no, I don't get overly excited when our own players dunk the ball either.  I'm happy we scored.

I has nothing to do with the dunk.  We expect that level from a player like Lebron.  Was the dunk above what what he usually does when he has such a clear path to the basket?

Doing it over a PG sized player doesn't make a huge difference in terms of impressing me.  He made the play that I would expect him to make.

Just like I am not impressed when a monster truck drives over a car.  Sure, it is cool to watch, but it isn't anything impressive anymore.

Au contraire, I think they both got wrecked

EDIT: Especially Brandon Knight. No, I don't think contesting a dunk is wrong, especially JT trying to contest LeBron, but the fact remains - when you try to prevent someone who is 50-80 pounds (or whatever) heavier than you, you pay the price

I guess I just fail to see why you, or anyone else, is impressed by a player doing what they are SUPPOSED to do.

It would have been pretty embarassing for LeBron or DeAndre had they been denied.

The dunk didn't "Impress me" per say. It wasn't something I knew lebron wasn't capable of, but it was still nasty and terry got owned. There's no way around it.

By some of you guys definition, no dunk is ever good or impressive unless its on a guy the same height or taller. To me what you guys are doing is "Damage control".

looking at the postings on this thread, the opinions seem to break down by younger/newer followers of the NBA vs the older followers here.

I don't get the fascination for what Lebron did or 'posterizing' another player.  to me, that just shows ignorance/lack of appreciation for the game.  style over substance.

I think Bron's winning basket was a lot more impressive than a dunk over a much smaller player who was trying to get in on the play at the last second.  Sadly, his winning bucket shows he's come a long way towards becoming a more complete player that can win a game in ways other than plowing over people and counting on the refs blowing a whistle if he misses.

This guy is right. A dunk is like the holy grail of basketball plays. When someone gets to the rim for an emphatic slam, and someone gets in the way to become collateral damage, how does that NOT increase the hype-factor?

Like honestly if Jeff Green knocked Mario Chalmers on his ass on a vicious slam, would anyone here say "Chalmers was making the right play at the right time and thus the he wasn't owned". Of course not.

Damage control is right.....
