Looks like Pats and Lloyd couldn't strike a deal to restructure. He will be releasesd. Too bad, IMO.

Talib resigns with Pats on a one year "prove yourself" contract.  Big resigning.

Per PFT.
The cornerback market is soft. Everyone's signing one-years hoping that it will pick up next season. Doubt it.

They can still resign him and even if they don't I don't think its "too bad".

He's a good receiver who helped out the Pats in multiple ways. He was too expensive and didn't live up to the hype. But he was good.

I agree sorta, he produced but not that way we needed him too.

He had lots of receiving yards, lots of first downs, helped open up the middle of the field, didn't shy away from blocks, and played hurt. What's not to like? The Pats clearly want to keep him, but on a smaller contract.

Yeah but he wasn't the deep threat we needed him to be. He didn't make alot of PLAYS. Once he caught the ball that was pretty much it. He didn't get alot of yards after that. Id like to have him back but only at a cheap price.

It would be great to have a deep threat. Every team wants one of these. The problem is that there just aren't many. And if they're available, they're expensive. If Pats sign Sandrs to an offer sheet, they are basically done w the WR position this offseason.

Ran into John Elway. He said Denver may try to re-sign Dumervil still, but wants to "let everybody calm down."

Translation: Dumervil is really, really livid right now.

I don't think you need a _deep_ threat. He was a great weapon on the sideline, made some good catches, and opened up the middle this way.

How is he going to get you YAC, when the throws for him, by design, are out of bounds. That's not Welker who's getting the ball between the hash marks with the whole field in front of him.

Nice move by the Lions, Suh and Johnson to restructure contracts.

Now let's hope the Lions use the extra space to add some impact players.

Dumervil to Ravens.  5 years, 35 million with 8.5 million in the first year.  Huge signing for the Ravens.  Him, Suggs, and Ngata is nasty up front defensively.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic
