I know Noel just suffered a major knee injury(same as rondo), but I might be willing to give up Rondo for a chance to select the local kid . He and KG would be something special defensively .

Depending on how the playoffs go , I think there can be a argument to trade Rondo for a big man in this lottery...

I don't think there's any argument that can be made to trade an ALL Pro PG for anyone inthis draft.  That would be very dumb.  Zeller has had a down year and hasn't proven that he's a true "big" man especially when it comes to the NBA and Noel is coming off a major knee injury and he averaged only 10.5 points in almost 32 minutes.  He's a good shot blocker and rebounder and that's it right now.  He's 215 pounds which makes him lighter than JaJuan Johnson when we drafted him...

Trades like that get GM's fired.  Rondo has a ton more value than anyone in this year's draft...

Certainly not Zeller & Noels has a ton of question marks right now.

I don't want to trade Rondo but, if we did, I'd want something established in return.  Not an unknown out of college.

I'd trade Rondo for Zeller and a solid starting PG.

It's a much tougher question with Noel.  Ideally, we'd make another run with KG and Paul here.  Downgrading Rondo for no immediate help up front would be a tough pill.

Nope to Cody Zeller. I think he is another Christian Laettner type. Not giving up Rondo for the next Laettner.

Nerlens Noel is somewhat tempting. Reminds me a lot of Joakim Noah only more athletic. Very attractive talent. But he is too young and too far away to be relied on to put KG and Pierce over the top next year + not sure he is the type of player you want as your initial building block. Better to build around two-way players initially and and add a guy like Noel as your 3rd building piece. I think Rondo's multi-dimensional game is likely better to build around long term.

So "no" to both but Noel does have his temptations.

The only thing that Laettner and Zeller have in common is that they are both white.

I wonder if a young two guard like Shabazz Muhammad or Ben EcLemore might make more sense than Cody Zeller or Nerlens Noel.

Neither has or had the physical talent necessary to do in the pros what they did in college.

No, I doubt the Clips would trade Chris Paul for a draft pick, nor would the Cavs give up Kyrie.

Rondo for the right pick (e.g., Drummond last year) I'd have to consider, however.

Don't know much about Cody Zeller other than:

1) he got major hype this season
2) he has the worst wingspan ever: 6'8" on a 7 footer!!!! Even 7 ft wingspan is bad for a 7 footer, but with arms that short, I think he struggles at the NBA level.
