How embarrassing is this ? Hornets give lakers the game on one of the embarrassing sequences ever . I know they are supposed to suck but come on .

Let me help you out with that:

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Stern is like the Godfather.  "Remember when I gave you the 1st pick in the draft, well now the time has come for you to repay the favor..."

So I guess Stern is beyond fixing just the refs now, and is having teams do his bidding as well.  Only logical explanation I can think of.

How did the coaches miss that?

I'd put this more on the coaches than players. It was after a timeout, they should have been set.

The NOH announcers didn't seem to pick up on their big time error, they just thought it was bad D lol.

"Wait.   Don't we switch baskets after every timeout?"

This was one of the most embarrassing team plays I've ever seen.  You'll occasionally see a single player make an ass of himself, but this was just on a whole 'nother level.

Ok. I thought something was wrong with this when I watched the highlights this morning. I have no sound on my work computer and just watched the video and was like how did they let Kobe and another lakers be wide open for a layup.

Wow...Just wow.

I'm skeptical it wasn't just a missed assignment rather than actually misreading which way they were going...
