Rebounding is still kinda subpar, but improvement should be noticed.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Props to Green. He's really getting better and fixing his problem - consistency.

Hopefully I didn't just jinx his good stretch he's conjured up...  :P

He is stepping up on both ends of the floor.

I really enjoy having Green on this team

Blocks are pretty impressive. He seems to alter a lot of shots to which has been a pleasant surprise to me.

As far as the scoring goes I always maintained if he was getting more minutes consistently that those points would go up (as well as scoring efficiency).

Not sure if people still disagree with that. I know a lots been made of him not scoring 20 points much (or maybe only once or twice?) and again I think thats a minutes thing. He's been scoring at a pretty good and efficient rate but his minutes still aren't too high. If he's playing under 30 minutes a night he's not going to have many 20 point games unless he just goes off.

I prefer to split his season pre-January vs. January+

Yeah, I agree. He was hot before the all-star break as well.

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
I'm trusting him more and more each game. I'm still cautiously waiting for him to go back to having no shows and disappearing again.

So you're waiting for him to fail again before you can have a positive outlook on him?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Rebounds are a lost cause, or 'it is what it is'. But the scoring numbers are so encouraging. 16 pts, 4.5 rebounds, 48+% shooting, 35% from range in 30 minutes. That's the production Id call ideal.

Along with contributing offensively at a consistent and efficient level, his defense has been truly stellar, beyond my wildest dreams.  I had just hoped that he would in time become an average defender and not get lost or fail to complete his responsibilities in the team defense too often.  More than being average, his defense has been All-NBA caliber against perimeter players of all sizes, including defending Curry extremely well a few games ago.  I really like watching this version of Green play.

Agreed. I knew his defense was improving, but I was pretty surprised when I found out he was 18th in the league in opponent points per possession.

And according to Synergy, the Celtics have four of the top 20 defenders in the NBA this season:
