I don't pay much attention to his fg% as he is their go-to scorer and the only one who can really create his own offense. He is forced to take a lot of bad shots. How many #1 options shoot a great fg%? (Outside lebron obv)

Splitter is probably not even the third option on the spurs. They are asked to do two very different things. Not a fair comparison IMO

I'd rather see him come home to BOS somehow, but Spurs are a Class destination for him.

I'd be happy for him if this happens.

He'd keep the Spurs window open a bit longer...perhaps keep Duncan around another yr, too.

In any event, he'd be the primary Big for their future...not a bad situation for him or the Spurs. He is one of the most polished lowpost threats out there RIGHT NOW, and will get better defensively with Popovich.

A Big Al/Duncan frontline is giving OKC much more trouble than they did last yr's playoffs. If this happens, OKC's path gets a bit harder.

I think they'd be entirely too slow.

How many easy transition buckets would they give up against Denver, LAC, and if the Thunder went small?

They would control the boards. 


And it is hard to run when the offense is making baskets.

Al Jefferson also keeps the burden on Duncan much smaller. Means Duncan is fresh for the playoffs in both this season and the next.

As long as SAS keeps Leonard, it's a great trade.

Ask yourself what role the players play. Jefferson is the #1 offensive option, and the defensive anchor on a team without the coaching or players to cover his weaknesses. I'm a big Splitter fan; I think him and Gortat are peers. But look at Splitter'ssystem and Jefferson's. Jefferson should do much better in SAS

His comfort zone and skill set are far different from what SAS runs right now.
