I would love to add Kenyon Martin. It would be brilliant to add Kenyon Martin and Chris Andersen. Then trade Wilcox to another team who'll eat his salary in exchange for cash to help aid against that cap limit.

I think the two of them (Kenyon, C.Andersen) would give the team's bench some major reinforcement in terms of interior defense and rebounding.

To me, that is trying to patch a hole with old worn down parts.  It will mask some issues during the regular season against weaker foes but will be exposed during the playoffs against contenders.

At least Wilcox has been playing basketball and well and successfully for what the C's need him to do. Why bring in worn down Martin who hasnt played or practiced with a squad all season, and who at this point in his career is slower and less athletic than Wilcox?

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I'd like to see Bass and JET come back as off the bench guys. They are really comfortable in those roles and with Jeff Green, will give us a great spark off the bench.

I'd like to see KG go back to PF. I don't know who will play C but i'd like him to go back at the 4, outside of the numbers, he is our best rebounder, and I want him in position for the rebound every miss instead of trying to block shots and get out of position for the board. We need someone who can do that for KG, or vice versa, as Bass, as aggressive as he is most of the times, is WAY undersized.

And as talented and elite defender AB is, if he needs to be included in a package that can land us a big man that could do what I said, so be it. AB has a great future, but we need to win now. And , adding another big man who can either rebound/prevent offensive rebounds or block shots I believe is more important right now than having an elite wing defender. Lee can hold his own on defense, not as good as AB but he can, I can live with that if it lands us a big man.

I think it'll be hard to bring Jason Terry, Jeff Green and Brandon Bass off the bench together. All scorers. All guys who need touches and shot attempts. I'd also worry about minutes for Bass + Green.

I think at least one of them is going to see large diminishing returns there.

It hasn't been a secret that this team was in need of a roster change.  A lot of people got carried away by "big" names like "Jason Terry" and "Courtney Lee" and lost sight of just how flawed this roster was.

I expected us to play .500 until the deadline and we're playing .500 until the deadline.  I refuse to panic until after we have a chance to shop our assets for an upgrade.

So far you have been correct. TP

I still want to see, if by adding Avery Bradley back to the starting lineup and rotation, we can take off again like last year when Ray got hurt.

Boston needs to get out from under the horrendous contracts of Green, Lee, and Bass.  If it can get any sort of expiring contracts for any of them without giving up anything else, then the Celtics should just do it and try to start over.  I just don't see any way for Boston to bring in anyone that can actually make this team a legit contender so it might as well try to start over and see if it can free up some cap space at some point in the next 2 summers.

Is Pierce for Rudy Gay still an option? ;)
