I've been disappointed. He looked much more assertive in the preseason and it had me thinking he could lead the 2nd unit.
I've realized that Green has to be catered to, he's not a facilitator or a guy who is great at 1-on-1 (offense or defense). And he's not an instinctive garbage guy like Sully, who will find ways to be useful when nothing is designed for him. He'll just give you flashes of brilliance and headaches when you realize that his great play was an aberration, and probably not his potential.
I'd like to see him get more minutes with Rondo where he's the featured scorer (with PP, KG, and possibly Jet on the bench). The biggest thing is that he doesn't look comfortable. It looks like he's either forcing things or out of the play entirely. We'll see where he goes, but he's real far from being one of the better 6th men (top 5-10) in the league which is where I had him pegged going into the season.
Edit: I also feel like Green is in a tough spot, similar to Ray when he joined the team. He has tons of pressure on him to perform, but when he's in with the starters he's the 4th-5th option and when he's in with the bench he's expected to dominate. All of that without a lot of set plays run for him.
