Well I never said that Bass is a 1st rate starting PF.  I just said he doesn't stink like the other poster.  Bass has his limitations, but at least he is putting out the effort on D.  The reason Bass is in bad positions on D a lot in this game is from the guards inability to control dribble penetration.  The dribble penetration from Parker is controlling the whole game and opening up passing lanes for them.  Since the Spurs are just as unselfish as we try to be it is a assist fest for easy buckets if we can't slow down the penetration.

I disagree.  Bass has been covering up for other bad D.   I think he has been playing pretty well on D.  What are the bigs supposed to do when every play turns into a 2 on 1 fast break because we can't stop parker's dribble penetration?

Oh Bass!!!! You stink!!!

I think it's because he is a pf in a sf body. He has worked hard and there is a place in the NBA for him. Just not starting on the Celtics.

No offensive rebounds through three quarters. No defense at all. This team is embarrassing right now. What a joke. Makes me sick.

Down 8 to start the quarter, down 8 to end it.

I'd bet anything, Doc goes even smaller.

Every game is a grind for the Celtics. And It's because they don't ever go after offensive boards, and they don't take nor make enough 3 pointers. Defense also regressed big time this season. I wonder why Doc? hint: small ball.

Wow they are just gutting the celtics defense. Avery Bradley is great for perimeter defense but  bigs will still kill us inside.

I just can't see us able to hold off a loss.  Spurs look like they'll bust it open at any moment.

Spurs are playing really well tonight.  Some of that is the C's bad D, but some of it is that they are just really good.

C's need to understand that we need to crank up the intensity on D to try and get more stops.  I don't see the intensity on D that we need.  We just aren't there yet.

Down 8 to start the quarter, down 8 to end it.

We cannot hold the lead if our lives depended on it.

down by 8 again. I do not see us winning at all. THIS people is why you cannot lose to GARBAGE clubs like detroit. No excuse whatsoever.

OKC is going to run us out the building.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
I think a problem that hasn't really been discussed is the players' lack of knowing their roles.  I think it will continue to be problem until about a month after Bradley comes back, which is really bad news.  You don't want your team to starting coming together in February or March.

It's been happening all year.  Not fighting for offensive boards but we're still not getting back in transition.
