Funny enough, this game only further lets me know we can beat them.

Me too Shak! Post on the pep rally thread!!!
If we could just find a mysterious way to keep LeBron in the locker room...

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
The problem tonight was we got absolutely nothing tonight from Jeff Green, if he is potentially our 6th man (minus perhaps Terry), he can not have games like tonight, he simply did not show up.

The scary thing is Miami was able to hold off the C's with Lebron suffering from pms, not sure if Green's A game plus Bradley's presence is enough to counteract Lebron in the 4th.

No show from KG as well by the way until the very end.

Foul trouble sucked. Doc has to learn to use the depth against the refs.

its funny, Rondo flirted with a  triple double and noone noticed. I know i know, we wanted the win and stats dont matter if we lose, but its still quite a feat to be a triple double machine on demand like rondo.

Except I thought that when LeBroid was playing...

He was having a great game and yet we were still right in it! Their leads grew when he wasn't in the game. I thought that, had either Green or JET played well on either end, then we would have been right there... that or doc subbed both of them out sooner! I also remember that only 4 people from last year's team is playing, Mia is virtually the same b/c you can easily say Ray is playing the Miller role (Miller didn't even see much time and when he did it was when LeBroid went out). I don't mind if people don't feel the way I feel but I honestly think we will end up beating the cHeat any time after about the Allstar break, when our team has meshed and learned their roles (I see JET being too timid out there, he looks like he is trying to be Ray instead of The Jet)... it's hard for people to go from doing what they do, to doing the role Doc sets for them. Doc making JET a spot up shooter will take him time to get used to... funny, that was Ray's gripe. Give Jet the ball and let him get HIS! Green just had a bad night, he is use to not controlling the ball from his OKC days but we need him to stuff it in the oppositions mouth (be aggressive), Doc (me too), probably expects too much out of Green (I thought he got over it in the preseason... maybe he did, this is just ONE game).
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Not an encouraging Jeff Green game.  He looked like the same nervous and confused Green that he has been his entire career.

I know we can hang with the Heat, we did out rebound them, but we doubled their TO count.

Was disappointed with Green after seeing how he played in preseason, but the defense isn't there yet, probably from all the new guys.  It will get there, but even if it was it was going to be hard to stop the Heat when guys like Rashard Lewis and Ray combine for almost 30 points.  If they do that all year it will be very hard to beat them.

He had a triple double in last season's ECF game 7 loss that went largely unnoticed because of the LeBron lovefest.

For a team that prides itself on defense, I sure didn't see a whole hell of a lot of it last nite. Guys cutting to the rim wide open, LameBron left open beyond the arc, an Allen not wearing green left open in the corner (after 5 years with us we should know his tendencies).

When our new guys learn the defensive rotations, we will be all set.

Losing sucks, but I didn't really believe in the late comeback since we couldn't defend a chair in this game from tipoff to the end, so... It was nice to see Barbosa on fire though, I didn't think he would even sniff the court and yet he had a bigger impact than Terry and Green combined. I really hope this was just a bad game for both of them, because Terry has been making big statements all summer and was simply awful in what he called himself a big game while Green was looking like the Green of 2011 and not the super-agressive one from the preseason.

Also, it hurts to admit it but Ray did play very well. Wade is still a vicious diva, his elbow shot to score uncalled although made right in front of the ref was frustrating (yet Rondo shouldn't have hit him at the end but I understand his anger).

I am a little more concerned about turnovers. We're not going anywhere if Rondo and Garnett will combine for 9 TOs per game.
