No Darko of Collins tonight? We need a defensive presence in the paint when KG is out.

Jeff Green is apparently versatile enough to play the 5  ::)

miami took a ton of jumpers tonight...and made them all...bosh, wade, james, allen, cole, battier, lewis....

it is a miss/make league....they made the shots....could boston defend better? yes

PnR Defense made those shots easier.

Expected about a 10 point loss and that is what we will get. And they I'd not have Lebron in the 4th.

Copy and pasting your old posts from the last three years, or do you type them from memory?

Agreed. I think the vet Celts ( Rondo, Bass, Pierce) have to be tighter on PnR because Garnett cannot bail them out 75% of the time anymore.

The next three games (milwaukee and a home and away with washington) should help us build chemistry and confidence both offensively and defensively. It was s a tough loss tonight but it's just one game. We'll get them next time.

I swear Doc has unhealthy addiction to small ball.

Come on Rondo!!
He's supposed to be the leader and let he let Wade get to him.

Wade's a little whiny **** so it's easy to get annoyed by him and for him to get in your head. He annoys the hell out of me and I'm just watching; however, you are right. Rondo is still struggling to control his emotions.
I get what you're stating and I used to like Wade so to see him acting like this just angers me (and I shouldn't get angry over a game or a sport).
It's gotten to the point where I can tolerate LeBron and actually semi like him compared to Wade who I just loathe.
I'm happy Rondo stood up for himself, but it was just the wrong time to do it and he just let Wade get to him (which I hate).
I never thought I would see the day where I would dislike  Wade as much and tolerate LeBron.
Man I want them to get it together this year and knock them out of the playoffs so bad just to see Wade cry like a you know what.

Our d will come around.  These guys will get more acclimated to the system as the season wears on. Really there is no reason to doubt we'll be vastly improved by the end of the season.

Right. I liked what I saw. The team has a lot of potential. I would've loved for us to win. It would've sent out a big message and gave Ray a big finger, but realistically speaking, I didn't think we would. Nothing against the team, but they're still gelling and playing against a team that's been together now for 3 seasons who'd just received their shiny championship rings.

Offense is there. Bench is there. Defense will come; HOWEVER, this is one of the few times I've been disappointed in Doc's coaching. Darko and possibly Collins could've made a big difference.

disappointments

- Jeff Green especially. You give a guy 7-8 million dollars and he gives you nothing but timid play. I thought he stated he was going to change and be more aggressive? got zero from him tonight.

- Its too soon to point Jason Terry as a bust pick up, but i can also see why Dallas didn't keep him , especially for the price he wanted to stay. With his age, he has lost a step, especially on defense. He is in no way shape or form a pg. Very bad passer. Rivers needs to be smarter and use him as a guy who can sting you along 6 or 8 points straight. Put him out there and ask him to score

- I'm not mad at KG but he played like he always has. But you can definitely see age is hampering his play. He used to eat Chris Bosh for dinner a few years ago. Now he can't even get position down low on the offensive end. It's a scary thought to know that one part of the lineup (pf/c) ma not be your strong suit anymore. You have to worry about interior defense

- Rondo had an off night even though he was the best player for us. Definitely not used to playing with the new guys on the team yet. Like Pierce stated, he has to stop overthinking and play. We could of used more scoring, esp for a good chunk of the 2nd and 3rd quarter.

- Not sure what Rivers is doing. Why let miami dictate , what your lineup should be?? why have to go small bc they go small?? you need inside presence at times to get their lineup to scramble. Instead he fell into miami's traps and game plan.

on the positive side

- Pierce was truly on fire tonight. He looks like the same dominant guy he was three years ago. Slimmer also. Can't wait to see what he can do for the rest of the year.

- Brandon Bass was great. Plain and simple. Not sure if he should be a starter but right now we have no choice. Great work tonight and earned his pay

- Avery Bradley would have been huge tonight. Especially neutralizing Wade and Allen. Can't wait until he comes back

- Not sure what happened with Darko, either he is still injured or just didn't get a shot tonight. But i feel, he could make a bigger factor on the court than most think. If he is on the floor, he eats up space, guys will think a little more before driving in. Also could give kg a little more room to breath.

only 1 game , but if we play like tonight for the rest of the year , he will make the playoffs but in no way shape or form have  a chance against the elite teams.
