No.  I suspect he is a legitimate disruption in the lockerroom.  Ainge/Doc may not even want him back if they could have a 16th roster spot and pay him nothing.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
The Mavs actually need him, would've played him 25 a night or more.

And they'd rather waive him than keep him. We look like we might have a good thing going here, let someone else pick up the pieces.

Sign him, and suspend him indefinitely.

Worst idea ever. Seeing this as a headline on Celticsblog homepage completely irritated me. Why would we want West back when we have 5 guards that are miles and miles better than him. How many chances can you give one guy before you say enough is enough. I mean, I wish the guy well and hope he can get it together...But come on. He has had two stints in Boston and was (in my eyes) completely terrible in both. I honestly liked Mark Blount more than Delonte West.

If Stern wasn't so politically correct and into Disney style marketing, we could have battle basketball video games. They could fight in a variety of set styles.

I'd like to play a video game where I control a tag team of D West and T Allen, and they have an alley fight against Jeremy Lin and Michael Beasley.

T Allen would have a Mike Tyson boxing style
D West would have shotguns criss-crossed across his back.
Jeremy Lin would be like Jet Lee
Michael Beasley could blow intoxicating air into your face, then slap you around.

Barkley Vs Bird in a dive bar?

Absolutely not. This man has to solve his problems. He just doesn't fit anywhere very long. I'm sympathetic to his problems but the Celtics are not capable of counseling this man.

I don't get all the love for Delonte.  He is unstable and always hurt at this point Joseph has a lot more upside to me.

I like delonte as a combo guard off the bench.  The issues he has would make me stay away add to that he would be the 5th guard on depth chart maybe 6th, no spot for him

He was suspended twice within a month for conduct detrimental to the team. Why would you ever want to sign a player like this?  ???

I feel the same way, with the exception of your last statement about Mark Blount.  I'm not a fan of Delonte, but I would never put him in a league with Mark Blount.  Delonte at least played hard and cared about the game, I'll give him that.  Blount is a different story.

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
Delonte West is my Boy.

I think he can do a better job at the 1 than most of the guards not named rajon but hey thats just my 2 cents
Injuries and locker issues makes me think about using a roster spot on him, but i love the not anymore kid.
