Poll

Which scenario would you prefer play out in the 2013 Playoffs?

The Celtics defeat the Heat in the ECF and go on to lose against the Lakers in the Finals.

It's a tough one:

Option 1 - Allows the Laker Franchise to tie the Boston Celtics in titles.

Option 2 - Robs the Celtics of yet another Finals appearance but protects the title record. Another negative is that it allows another despised team to go back to back eclipsing what our big 3 were able to do.

For me, this one is easy.  I'd rather lose to the Heat again, even though I despise their franchise.

I couldn't stand to lose to the Lakers again in the finals. 2010 still haunts me to this day.  The Lakers will always be enemy #1, and it would absolutely disgust me to see them tie us in titles.

Both sicken me, so I didn't vote.

It's kinda like when the executioner asks Larry how he wants to die: have your head cut off or be burned at the stake. Larry answers "I'd rather have my head cut off."

Curly then chimes in: "Not Me. I'd rather be burned at the stake". Moe asks Curly "Why" and then Curly says............wait for it..........................................................

Option 1. Can't stand the King. No class whatsoever. Couldn't carry Jordan's bags.
Besides there is no shame losing the Championship. Winning ECF's mean a lot. We were hobbled with injury's last season and took them to the last quarter.

Looks like this came back from the grave.

I like the Boston Celtics better than I like schadenfreude.

I would rather win the East than not win the East.

I'm a Celtics fan; I don't give a F*** what happens to the other teams.

If you'd prefer to lose the conference championship just so LA doesn't win it, it seems to me like you're an LA hater more than a Celtics fan. I don't get it.

Any option that includes the Lakers winning a title I am against.

You missed the option of "Eat a pile of crap", that's what I'd vote for.

Fascinating to me how many folks are unbothered by the prospect of the Laker franchise tying or surpassing the celtics in titles. This thought literally keeps me up at night and it is something I never want to see in my lifetime.

I think at some point it'll become inevitable that they'll pass us purely because of the city.

Going forward the Celtics have no room for mistakes as far as strategy, using cap room wisely, and personnel wisely.

L.A. is an attractive place to play in, and even with a crappy team, it'll still draw the attention of big names who all things equal usually rather play there than in places like Boston and its cold weather.

Hopefully it doesn't happen, but we can't miss opportunities and we can't make big mistakes.

I hate both of those teams.   I would rather see anyone win other than those two.

This is easy because all those Minneapolis Lakers titles don't count for anything

I'd vastly prefer option 1.  If we lose to the Heat again, I will be much more depressed than if we manage to reach the finals and lose to the Lakers, especially if we put up a good fight.

I'm sorry, but somehow I can't get worked up about stuff that went down before I was born, back in the days of George Mikan and the Minneapolis Lakers.

I had to go with option #2, the thought of the Lakers exceeding our titles is sickening...

Although it would be an amazing finals Celtics VS Lakers  both with 17 titles.
