Well as long as the thugs (HEAT) don't cripple Rondo on purpose , we'll be OK till Avery gets back.

thugs (HEAT)

They're not thugs. They don't have any toughness.

They're bullies with a wealthy daddy (Stern). Teacher turns a blind eye when they break the rules.

What Chris posted on page 1, I believe - play Paul Pierce at SG.

He's done it before...he won't be 2002 Paul Pierce, but I'd bet that he'd be one of the better SG's out there, still.

Imagine THIS:

PG - Rondo/Jet
SG - Paul/Jet/Lee
SF - Jeff Green or Lee
PF - Bass/Wilcox/Darko/KG/Sully
C - KG/Collins/Darko/Fab

We'd match up with ANY team in the league...LA, OKC, MIA - you name it - especially if we went Rondo-Paul-Jeff-KG-Darko vs the like of LA.

I'd trust Paul on Kobe - no problem. Kobe's not a spring chicken anymore, either.

Paul Pierce can STILL overpower and outplay many SG's out there - I firmly believe that.

Doc has a TON of weapons.

I have no issues with Paul Pierce playing SG - at all.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
why would an undrafted rookie get 30 minutes a night if one of those players went down?
I don't understand. They'd get 10 minutes max and the other three would share the load.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Right.  We're just talking if one of Rondo or Terry goes goes down for a period.  Who'd then become the backup, and in that case it'll likely be an SG guarding their point, with PP facilitating from the 3.  Not ideal, but looks like what we're going with.
