Danny says we're good.  A week ago we all thought the same thing, but when Dooling was waived, that logjam disappeared.  With Bradley not even close to coming back we're looking at this for a big chunk of the season:

Rondo (36) Terry (12)
Lee (30) Terry (18))

If by some typical Celtic luck one of these guys gets hurt for ANY period of time, what happens to our record?  We give an undrafted rookie 30 minutes a night?  How do you make up for Rondo's 36 minutes, especially when he's the only PG on the roster?  Danny always goes for the right type of player, but almost every year I am skeptical about the holes in the total roster (08-09 was a crime, as was relying on Marquis multiple times, and putting all the money on an injured Shaq).
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Simple, Pierce plays a lot more SG and Green plays a lot more SF.

Well, it is the regular season.  So it's not that big of a deal if one of the rookies had to do that for a few weeks until one of them made it back.

Another option, of course, would be to give PP some minutes there.  At this age, I wouldn't want him to play 25 mpg there; however, I could see a scenario where he plays 12 mpg at the 2 and 18 mpg at the 3.  That would leave 30 mpg for Green at the 3.  It would also mean that we'd only have to fill about 15-20 mpg with a rookie.

Again, not ideal, however, assuming that 3 out of the 4 are always healthy and that no one faces a season ending injury, we should be fine.  And if someone does face a season ending injury, Ainge will likely then look to pick up a Daniels (or better yet a Pietrus) who can step in.

1 vote Christmas, 2 votes Pierce.  Anybody know what Leandro Barbosa is doing this season?

Since Terry is the primary backup at both the 1 and the 2, his going down would be particularly impactful.

Guess we're crossing our fingers that neither he nor Rondo goes down.

Look to sign someone then.

Until then, wait until the right G becomes available.

We're pretty well set, IMO.

Rondo/Terry/Bradley is a nice 3-deep PG rotation.  So what if the 3rd PG is recovering from surgury.

Lee/Terry/Pierce/Bradley is a nice 4-deep SG rotation.

As long as Rondo and Terry hold up, we're okay.

When Christmas officially makes the roster, that'll add another person to the depth chart at both positions, and we'll be totally fine.

Losing anyone blows, but there's really only so much you can do...the hard lesson of, well, every season since 07/08.

Declare the season over on Celticsblog?   ;D

Seriously though, 3 guards, even if one is XMas or Smith, would be enough to get by til Bradley gets back.  Definitely good enough if Pierce gets some minutes there too.

The answer is . What is crape hanging?  Really? I am sure Doc and Danny can handle such a small problem of an injury to a Guard. If its Rondo we may have a problem but otherwise we keep on trucking with what or who we got. We have great depth to cover almost any situation as it occurs. I like pierce as a two Guard terry as a point christmas as a point and two as maybe needed and there is C Lee who can play a little two as well. I don't think we can anticipate a permenant injury but short term we will be okay.

We give an undrafted rookie 30 minutes a night?

I'm okay with this being one of the options as a short-term solution if it is only a few weeks.

This.

Also create multiple threads calling us to sign Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, or Bob Cousy til the end of season.
