Trade works on RealGM.

I'm asking for objectivity here.  With Boston in need of a backup point guard and Fredette, who seems to be the odd man out in Sacremento, possibly available.  I wonder if Ainge explores this option after Bradley is healthy.  Especially, with Lee and Terry signed for multiple years.

Besides, a decision will need to be made on Bradley sooner than later.  Do you want to invest long-term in an injury prone undersized shooting guard.  If so, why not Fredette? His contract has more years so the decision on him can wait.

I like the idea of Fredette being an Eddie House off the bench.

Question: is Jimmer Fredette more, or less, qualified to play PG in the NBA than Avery Bradley?

Less.

Fredette has yet to show he can be an impact player in any phase of the game. Now his situation in Sacramento hasn't been ideal for development but we haven't seen it yet.

Bradley has shown he can be a defensive difference maker at both the PG/SG positions.

Because Fredette hasn't shown he is a NBA level talent and even more a NBA level difference maker. Furthermore his contract only has one additional year than Bradley's and he's older than Bradley.

For half of last season Bradley showed he could be a difference making role player during the C's run to the Atlantic division title.

The way I see it too.

I think Fredette does need to get out of Sacramento, if he's going to develop into a reliable rotation player. But right now, I'd much rather have Bradley, warts and all.

I'd pass.

I sorta consider Fredette a borderline NBA talent these days.

I am looking forward to seeing what Fredette does this season for Sacramento. To see what type of improvement he makes (or fails to make).

Not really convinced one way (positive) or the other (negative) about him yet. Big year for Fredette. He played about the same level as E'Twaun Moore did last season. He has a lot to prove.

Fredette has been a disappointment to me.  If he doesn't show anything this year, he may be on his way out of the league.

Both these guys are on my fantasy team.  This is what I would say.

Avery is younger and has shown something against the best and Jimmer hasn't shown enough. Jimmer's rookie year was better than JJ Reddick's but I wouldn't trade Avery for JJ either.

I think he's been a victim of a variety of cruel circumstances. Drafted too high by a woefully mismanaged franchise that has acquired too many other short, shoot-first/combo guards.

Would love to see Fredette traded to a stable, competent franchise that wants to develop him and give him a fair shot.

Pass on the trade.  We have a PG and that is what Jimmer has been playing.  He is a short two guard and questionable on D.

I have no doubt he'd be doing fine if he were in San Antonio or a team more like that..you know what I mean

Although I view Fredette as a combo guard, I think he's more capable of playing point guard than Bradley.  Bradley is definitely more suited for the shooting guard position.

I reckon it depends on how one views the ball-handling and passing skills and the unselfishness of each player.
