He has 0 HOPS, Guy can barely get off the ground
He has good positioning on rebounding
passed out the double team pretty well
THATS IT...hes gonna be a below average player if he doesnt improve many parts of his game
No, that's not it. You forgot some things:
-Excellent hands and good touch
-Polished post moves; good footwork
-Very high basketball IQ
-Low turnover rate
-Decent outside shot that will only improve
-Very strong, knows how to use his body to create space and get shots off
Of course he needs to improve. He's a rookie. He will struggle against bigger size matchups in the NBA, but everyone has trouble against size, even the premiere big men.
He's not a highly athletic player, but he doesn't need to be to be effective. Just look at Zach Randolph, Luis Scola, and Kevin Love. Don't write him off just because he isn't athletic. He knows how to play high level basketball.
I'm keeping my expectations realistic, but I have a great feeling about this guy. He will help our team down the road in multiple ways (if he stays healthy, obviously), of that I can guarantee.
On topic, try not to overanalyze one collegiate basketball game. It's much too small a sample size to draw conclusions about player abilities.
