Well, the Lakers are locked into the finals barring an injury. In fact, if they stay healthy they have title wrapped up.

Are we sure Gasol is in this trade? It says Orlando is getting Afflalo, Harrington, Vucevic, and a 1st from all three teams, which seems like a poor return to me, but I haven't seen confirmation that Pau is involved.

Does anybody else this is a major load of BS??? Once again the Lakers pull off a trade where they're the MASSIVE winners.

C'mon. They're not even losing Gasol?

The other offers for the Magic were SO MUCH BETTER!

It sure would be great if people actually wanted to play in Boston.

Lol... wow.   Lakers keep Gasol and that's what the Magic get for all their troubles?  Horrible.

I don't think Orlando needs to worry too much about their bad contracts. They won't be needing cap space anytime soon anyways. Best to stay bad make a few high draft picks and then look to bring in high-salaried free agents.

They'll probably be bad anyway, especially since they traded Ryan Anderson.

Would you rather be a bad team with a few extra draft picks but still in salary cap hell for a couple more years or a really bad team with a clean slate and some flexibility to either sign free agents or rent out cap space for future picks?

I wonder if there is any chance Fran Vazquez will ever end up in the NBA.

  • GOT IT!!!
What a load of BS. Magic are getting very little value in return. Lakers as usual get the best end of the deal. Never fails.

Bunch of dummies run organizations in this league.

From what I am reading, Denver saves $15 million and gets Igoudala, so they have clear motivation to make this deal.

Philadelphia gets Andrew Bynum and moves Igoudala (who is talented but too expensive and redundant on their roster), so they have clear motivation to make this deal.

Los Angeles gets the best center in the league, arguably the best defensive player in the league, a top 5 player, so they have clear motivation to make this deal.

Orlando gets . . . . ???
