Redz,
The Knick series that you mentioned (painfully-laugh) was an example of thinking. After that game the Knicks made a defensive adjustment. The moved Oakley to guard Parish and Ewing to guard McHall. Oakley was short but very strong and was able to move Parish off the block. And Ewing's height interfered with McHale. The original matchups were more normal but the switch was effective for the rest of the series. If the Celtics had more time to adjust I think they would have exploited the new matchups. However the thinking part of basketball is why I like the game. I never had any athletic talent to speak of but I was much smarter than most opponents and therefore could make an impact in some way, shape or form.

The old best of 5's were dangerous.  Better than the opening round best of 3's though  ;)

In its current iteration of the website, Roy is the leader. With 33333 posts, no less.

Click on Member List, and then sort by Post count.

It would be GREAT if we could do the same thing for TP Counts!!!

That's what I want to see, I want to see like a top 10 list of top TP recipients.

Unfortunately, Other than Roy everyone on this forum just blends together for me.  I can't remember what any individual person says.  I'm just not very good at associating names/avatars with content.  I know there are some really awesome contributors here and I've talked to a  bunch of you, I just can't remember who said what.

Recently I have started to notice a pattern where Celtics18 responds and disagrees with almost every single post I make... So I'll nominate him.

Let me know when someone starts a "top 5 most annoying posters in CB History"... I'll nominate myself.

Thank you.

not to be too much of a killjoy but these sorts of things end up hurting feelings more often than they do making people feel appreciated, so please, everyone take with a grain of salt and none too seriously

I'll also nominate BBallTim ... I get you and him confused. But you two both seem to hate everything I say... so that's fun.

My top 5:

1) Roy
2) Indeed Proceed
3) Steve Weinman
4) Who
5) BBallTim

This is based on quality of post, number of quality posts and the information, humor, and intelligence that each poster brings to their posts.

So, so many more to shout out to. Some still posting and others not. Way too many to list. This blog is just littered with great posters.

No hate, just frequently vehement disagreement.

I see your point and sorry I brought it up. I wouldn't want it to be that way. I just wanted it to be like it is in the Member list section where you can put people in order of number of posts. If TP's were listed you could just hit it and see who was tops easily. Otherwise, I see how ill fated it is and once again....

Sorry I brought it up. I can see how that would turn into a cancer and I'm not for that at all.

Lovely topic.

Lately I've been browsing the blog pretty much exclusively through my iPhone, which has turns the forum experience around a fair bit: I don't see people's avatars, and don't recognize any of the signatures.

So to me, it's pretty much a bunch of faceless people talking about my favorite sports team.

Hats of to all of ya. You make this forum a great place to hang out.

I'll avoid current posters.  There are a ton of good ones, and I don't want to leave anybody out.  So, among guys who have moved on or who rarely post anymore:

HomeRunBaker
Sec22
Overot
BigReg33
SShoreFan
Scintan
hankfinkel
Bob
LA_33
bostonfan23
E.FernstensDiscoMustache

Scintan is definitely one that i miss. Id add Bahku to the list as well.
