  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
I'd retire his number right now if he walked.

He would help his case a lot by winning a second championship in a Celtics uniform. I feel like we are entering a second phase of KGs stay in Boston with all the changes that have taken place. Courtney Lee, Jason Terry, and Jeff Green all have fantastic opportunities with the Celtics this season.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

He deserves to have his # retired in both cities, and he will.

He built and carried that Timberwolves franchise during the 90s and 00s and he has embodied everything Celtic since he arrived in 2007.

He also didn't leave Minnesota with any bad feelings.  He initially refused to be traded.  He would have finished his career in Minnesota.  There is no bad blood there that I'm aware of.

He's already earned the right to have his # retired in the rafters at the Garden.  He doesn't need another championship.  He and Pierce will have their #s up there.

Ainge should get his up there as a player/GM, but that may take a few more years.

I think they have a few too many retired numbers actually. I'd take them all down except for (maybe) 6, 14, 17 and 33.
You must be high. Every single one of those men gave to this organization and deserve their spot.
Signed to a 6 year $0 contract with the Celtics Blog forum!

By then he'll have eight years with the C's which, if I'm not mistaken, is more than DJ....definitely retire it even though DJ had two rings
