  • GOT IT!!!
AK47 can play both forward spots. He would be another good defender to throw at big wings like LeBron and Melo. He would be a very good pickup but I can't see him coming to Boston. Other teams offer better money and bigger roles.

I'm okay with this, because it means Ainge couldn't grab another big. Dooling is a good glue guy, while also being a solid emergency player. One more spot to fill.

Other teams may offer bigger roles, but I'm not certain about better money.  The Nets, whom this article mentions as the primary suitor, have only the vet min to offer.  The Warriors still have their mid-level I think, but at this stage of the game, the BAE is a decent offer, were it to be made.

Love this signing.

And to think: just last week some people around here were throwing dirt on Dooling's grave. Shame.

I understand the need for another 3, but if Danny can get a big who can contribute, I don't think there is any question he should grab the big.

Picking up a serviceable SF if needed during the season will be much easier than finding a contributing big if needed.

It was basically Moore as backup PG or Dooling. I liked Moore better; but Moore got us Courtney Lee. So Dooling is better than Lamar Smith; but that is not saying lots.

Good guy great teammate. Good vet for Bradley to learn from.

Too bad MP wouldn't come back for the min. He fills more of a role than Dooling.

I'm not in the lockerroom though and from all accounts that is where his value is I'm assuming. Otherwise the signing doesn't make much sense.

Great move.  Keyon not only provides great depth at the 1, he may actually get some minutes early in the season when Bradley is out.

KD can distribute and play defense. that is huge for a 3rd stringer. whatever offense we get from him will be pure gravy!!!

Dooling has good energy off the bench and plays his tail off , the best he can, will give him that .  I'm more about his "D" and energy , than what he might give offensively.  At least he knows whats going on , and has a year under his blet ... He should be more useful this year .

That thread was my beacon of shining light during the low points of last season.

Believe it or not I'm going to say this signing was a good idea.

Several league executives believe Minnesota is pursuing free agent Andrei Kirilenko. He's no longer considering Brooklyn, sources say.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
I love this signing!!! I think Dooling is going to do bigger and better things for us this season. He's had a year under his belt with us. He got along well with the team and he came on strong towards the end of the season, this was after spending a lot of the beginning of the season not 100% and with limited minutes. If he can stay healthy this season, I think with more Celtics experience he becomes a bigger weapon than he was last year.

I think Dooling has it in him to become a fan favorite. It's really hard not to like the guy. Sure, he throws up some bricks from time to time. But when all is said and done, he's going to find a way to be a contributor. Even if he never sees a minute on the floor, he contributes by being a great teammate. And when he does get on the floor, he finds a way to contribute. He'll be better this season than last. I just feel it!!!

Welcome Back Dooling!  ;D
